TE Dawson Knox, BUF (1 Viewer)

Zero reason to hold on to him, IMO. Pick up someone else and if you want to try to get him back when he's healthy, knock yourself out. But don't waste a roster spot on him if he's not playing

Is he back this weekend?

He's underperformed but in a 14 team league I'm not doing any better with the waiver options

Dawson Knox caught all three of his targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' Week 6 win against the Chiefs.

Knox came down with a 20-yard score to take the lead late in the fourth quarter. Josh Allen targeted Knox of just 7.5 percent of his attempts against Kansas City -- a trend for Knox, whose route participation hasn't been strong for much of 2022. Knox's routes would have to spike before he became a TE1 option in 12-team leagues since he is not and never has been a target commander. Knox will be a reasonable streaming option for the remainder of the season.

Dawson Knox caught 6-of-8 targets for 98 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' Week 15 win over the Dolphins.

Knox had a couple of miscues early but made up for it with his largest yardage output of the season, scoring in the final quarter to bring the game level. He regularly served as Josh Allen's outlet against the relentless Miami defense, who had Allen under duress for most of the night. Knox continues to be a touchdown-reliant, backend TE1 into the fantasy playoffs.

Bills HC Sean McDermott said Dawson Knox will undergo wrist surgery and his timeline to return is unknown.

Knox battled through his wrist injury in Week 7, catching 1-of-3 targets in the Bills’ loss to the Patriots. His absence would theoretically open the door for Dalton Kincaid to step into a bigger role, as Kincaid is fresh off an 8/75 performance — the best of his career. McDermott said it’s “too early to say how much time” Knox will miss, but we’ll likely know more after his surgery. For now, Kincaid will be a fringe TE1 in Week 8 when the Bills take on the Buccaneers.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Dawson Knox (wrist) is likely to be placed on injured reserve.
This felt like the natural outcome for Knox. It was announced earlier this week that Knox would undergo wrist surgery and was facing an unknown timeline for return. The Bills placing Knox on injured reserve would require him to miss a minimum of four games, making him eligible to return no sooner than Week 12 — assuming the Bills place him on IR before Thursday night’s contest against the Buccaneers. His absence would also raise the ceiling of rookie Dalton Kincaid who caught eight passes for 75 yards in the Bills’ Week 7 loss to the Patriots. Kincaid will be a near must-start as long as Knox is out, and can be trusted as a low-end TE1 in Week 8.

Dawson Knox

Kincaid and Coleman are not expected to play this week, giving Knox a larger role.

The Chiefs allow the most yards per game against the tight end position.

Expect a relatively high-scoring game, which increases potential for fantasy production.

Could be a great plug-and-play week if you need a TE.

I'm in two leagues total. I own Kincaid in both. I've started Kincaid every week. I now own Knox in both. I plan on starting Knox in both. Maybe one of them being out will allow the other to hit. Prolly not though. Ha ha

He’s a decent play with Kincaid out

Grabbed Knox for free with Otton on a bye. Hope he gives me a nice floor of 4-40. All I expect from the TE spot.

I was flip flopping between Knox and Kraft to cover Otton's bye, ended up going with Kraft but now i'm re-thinking because I thought Kincaid had a decent shot to play, if he doesn't well Knox is much more interesting
