TE Harold Fannin Jr., CLE (1 Viewer)

Breakout game incoming?

I feel that 7/100/1 TD game coming soon. Fannin catches everything ..Just like in college..
I love these kinds of players.
..I bid just over half my wad for this guy last week. We draft 21 players in 12 teamer,so very little on waivers.
He's the kind of if guy you want on your team, not someone else's when he explodes into the scene

This dude will get close to100 catches this year. If Najuko got hurt. He'd be getting 9-10 targets a game lol
He's the real deal

We just need Njoku moved and we'd be sitting pretty.

I think we are already sitting pretty good right now. How many more games before in dynasty we push his value above Loveland?

117-1555 and almost 10 TDs last year, he went double digit on TDs his Freshman and Sophomore Seasons
I've never heard of a TE catch 117 balls in one season, remarkable

Guy catches almost everything that's catchable.. it's why I bid 45% of my 500 last week on him.

He's a wr playing TE,
I've played long enough to know, only one or 2 guys come out of nowhere to surprise at beginning of the year, and if you miss out ,you regret not bidding more for a guy that could end up possibly being a league winner a difference maker..
I believe Fannin is that guy. Like most if ya.

Curious what ya all bid to get Fannin.

Guys that shine n breakout on waivers first week or two are always aggressively bid on..so ya gotta bid relatively high in my league anyways, to get those surprise break-out difference maker players at beginning of the year. .

Got him for free before week 2. No one bid.

I bid about 30% after week 1

I think people still had the mindset of "it's week 1 and Njoku is still there."

I was going to pass as well but once he went through with no claims, I scooped him up.

Grabbed him early last week (14 teamer and shallow bench). He may be that dude who kills it every week and is a plug and forget unless its the BYE week.

I gave up Omarion Hampton for Fannin, a likely late 2026 1st, and Brashard Smith in a 12 team dynasty.

TE Prem (2.0) so young stud TEs are enormously valuable.

Wasn’t a very popular trade in the dynasty trades thread but I am rebuilding and would rather build around young TEs (also have McBride, Likely, Mason Taylor) than RBs. I also think Fannin is the real deal (obviously).

I don’t mind it, although I was not overly high on Hampton as a prospect. Good luck!

Given the heavy TE scoring edge, I think there is a good chance you're happy with the trade long term but it is certainly a quick and decisive adjustment in rankings after just 2 games.

Yeah that makes sense. I just think if you zoom out on who Fannin was in college and see how he was used week 1, it's pointing to the potential for something big

Yes, remove his name and draft capital. Just say to yourself a 21 year old who is coming off an All American season where he led the NCAA in receptions and receiving yards is 2 games into his NFL career and leads his team in receptions.

In my auction league I got him for $1 toward the end of the auction. Can keep him for $6 in 2026, $11 in 2027, etc.

In my redraft I got him for $13 of $100 after week 1.

Yay to me for not starting Henry for this guy :)
The TE TD roulette game is a cruel one

And I can't remember when i got it right
its hard.

when the TE is not the #1 or #2 option in the pass game, I have found they get more love when the other team has a shutdown corner who takes the #1 option away from the offense. then the TE gets a bit more love.

I'm going to have to see the usage and how many slot snaps he's getting. I'm seeing Isaiah Bond getting more snaps than last week.

Hunter Henry did go crazy today and he seems to be the preferred target for Maye. But I am not sure why people are turning their back on Fannin right now. He's a rookie TE playing one of the best defenses in the league. Of course this was a touch match-up.

his production wasnt terrible. Like you said, tough Defense. I think better days are ahead for him. He is still a rookie so there is a bit of a learning curve. but the early returns are fantastic.

people are poo pooing his production a bit but when you put it in the context of the situation hes still ahead of the curve. There is a lot to like with Fannin. I acknowledge at this point hes a matchup dependant play. TE2 on most teams. but if you have him you didnt spend a high pick on him. you likely got him for free off of waivers. so what more do you want? yes. hes better in dynasty than in redraft. but I think there will be some good games this season for redraft too.

Tyler Warren was 3 for 38 today, I doubt people with him are talking about throwing in the towel.

Yeah, dropping him never entered my mind. The kid is going to be very good.
what I like is that they are moving him around the formation. starting him in the slot, or out wide and sometimes at TE.

to me there are not a lot of TEs in the history of the NFL that have been used in this manner. to me this means he has the ability to be a special player. Maybe this year, maybe not.. but eventually.

its always tough with rookies.

but in a dynasty format I'd be all over getting my hands on this guy. just stash him away. Hopfully he realizes the very good potential that I see in him.

The amount of people taking victory laps this week was weird.
he hasnt done that much yet. I picked him up but I'm not crowing and calling it a victory. not yet anyways. Hes put up solid stats for a rookie TE. Still not really startable (or fringe starting stats depending on what game you look at) hes a stash and hold in dynasty. hes a backup in a redraft format.

but it looks like his team nailed the pick. There is still plenty of time for the browns to find a way to muck it up as they often do. maybe they will trade him away. who knows.
