TE Sleeper Zach Miller (1 Viewer)

FBG's has him rated as all but startable behind just about any active TE. I know he's been hurt and hasn't produced so it's ok to be cautious but I think they are burying him in the rankings. I watch every snap and I can tell you there was a big difference between the Miami game of 2 weeks ago in comparison to last week's game at San Diego. Miller was a liability as a blocker against Miami, and blocked effectively last week. You can tell the heel is not bothering him as much. He was holding his own and looked a lot better last week, and that was practicing only partially. Now, with Miller officially listed as probable and practicing fully, I'd not be surprised to see Miller have a big game against Jacksonville. Miller as a sleeper is kind of ridiculous, but when the latest rankings show him to be the 29th best TE this weekend, he is a prime sleeper candidate.

(TheHuddle) Oakland Raiders TE Zach Miller (foot) was able to participate in a full practice Friday, Dec. 10. He is listed as probable for Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Analysis: Miller's foot is improving, based on his ascension to 'probable' for the first time in weeks. He's lost all fantasy trust, however, which is a shame because the Jaguars have been burned by tight ends. Gates, Witten, and even Kevin Boss had a big game against this defense.
The good news is that tight end Zach Miller was listed as having participated fully and is probable. Miller has just eight receptions and one touchdown since Oct. 24, and his re-emergence in the passing game would be big in what figures to be a deliberate, conservative battle for first downs against teams with similar philosophies.

He has burned me this month. I am starting Ed Dickson over him this week.

Did he run routes in the passing game last week?

I need him to have a game with more than 1 catch before I feel comfortable putting him back in my starting lineup.

I guess this would depend if the Raiders actually throw the ball this time. If they go run heavy Miller will be mainly blocking.

The Raiders gameplan has been fluctuating wildly for some time. They of course will try to ram the ball down Jacksonville's throat, but don't expect a copycat game plan from the 250 rushing yards they put on San Diego. Gameplans will always vary according to personel matchups, strategies and relative health of key players. I think with Zach Miller healthy, the gameplan is modified to provide for more activity and more targets. He's not been healthy since before the bye week, and it looks like he's getting better just in time for a critical stretch run for the Raiders to vie for the playoffs. I know that Tom Cable doesn't care a whit what fantasy football owners think. I think he will use him if he's healthy, and that appears to be the case.

I would love to get Miller off my bench and into the lineup...BUT don't forget there is the strong likelihood of rainy conditions in Jacksonville which would aid the running games and put receivers relying on Campbell at risk.....

Rolling with the rookies. Superstar Jimmy Graham in one league and Dickson in another.
That's interesting. I have both Graham and Dickson on my bench with Miller getting the start.I expect a huge week from Miller. I always roll the week before the playoffs start with whatever lineup I throw together. With playoffs secure, it's a bye week really so no pressure. But next week when it counts, I will lay an egg no matter what. Its like a tradition.
