Ok everybody here is the link:

https://www.gofundme.com/23r99vpt

gofundme does charge an 8% vig so we discussed other options. We considered PayPal and other sites, but we decided the potential for this site to get shared easily at Facebook or Twitter or even via text mitigated any fee. Basically, we think we will get more for him using this site even minus 8% than we will using something like PayPal which doesn't have any real ability to be shared.

Please pass around and do whatever you can to help. Thanks in advance (actually can mean that this time)
Bump.  I hate the new board.

Im not going to lie, if I was going through this and some guys I hang out with every day on a message board did this for me, I would probably lose it.

This is a great thing we are doing guys.

As others have said, even if insurance covers 100% of it, they will need the money.

I hope they don't need a dime of it and take Riley to Disneyland some day on it.

Hey Rude - Go ahead and move this one over to the FFA.  We can keep the thread title the same until I change it a little later.  Agree, might be fun for him to see the ruse behind this.

I'll keep the thread title the same for now, but open for suggestions.  I do like something along the lines of: "Riley Shady - ROY!"

Whatcha got?

:goodposting:

A few years ago when my sister and her daughters lost everything in a fire this place came through with amazing generosity..

It is so nice to see that through all the ifights this place will still come through for a FBG in need.

Waiting for the fantasy nerds to read the title and chime in "Wrong Forum".

Thanks to all who set this up and put the word out.  Great Job!

I am a jet fan, but the talk in ny is that apple can be very good in that defence.  jets got another osu defender so it will be interesting to see who turns out better.

:lmao:

When Riley gets better we should arrange for a baby sized Eli Apple jersey be given to shady and family.

I like this idea.  Also, I'm not kidding, his mom is a treat.  To wit:

It’s safe to say Eli Apple’s mom, Annie, has made as much of an impact on football fans in the past eight days as her son has. Last week the Ohio State standout was taken 10th overall in the 2016 NFL draft by the New York Giants, although it almost didn’t happen.

Annie Apple told Eli not to pick up the phone last Friday because she thought it was a telemarketer. That would be just the first of many moments Annie has endeared herself to the Internet in the past week. She began her spotlight tour by tweeting “Praying for all the thirsty girls sliding in new NFL rookies DMs with heavy booty & cleavage action pics. Only Jesus can quench your thirst.” That tweet came hours after her son’s college teammate Ezekiel Elliott’s Snapchat fiasco in which a female companion photographed herself in bed with the fourth overall pick, and although there is no evidence that the tweet had anything to do with Elliott, the comment nonetheless caught eyes — and hearts.

This week, Annie chronicled her son’s journey to the NFL draft in Sports Illustrated, including commentary on how the NFL might improve the experience for draft picks’ families during the festivities:

“There was a wonderful welcome reception for the family, though whomever planned the event forgot to include desserts. This is what happens when skinny women rule the world: they forget the chocolate. Clearly the commissioner owes me a brownie.”

According to ESPN on Friday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made sure she got her dessert. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy sent an email to Annie’s husband, Tim, a five-star chef himself.

“Just a head’s up to be on the look out for a delivery of brownies today,” McCarthy wrote. “The Commissioner was aware of Annie’s disappointment in the lack of desserts at the Draft in Chicago and wanted to make up for it.”

Annie was grateful for the tasty treat.

But that wasn’t all Annie had words about this week. She could probably write a draft etiquette book for league, teams and players alike”

“Eli was offered Rolex watches and diamonds to wear on draft day. I told him, ‘Dude, you’re an unemployed college dropout. You will not be on TV with a Rolex.’ So we decided if he needed to know what time it was, he could just look at his phone. I bought him a portable charger.”  :lmao:

While Annie said “no” to free, shiny watches, she did say “yes” to the idea that her son could be like the other Eli — 12-year veteran, two-time Super Bowl MVP (and Apple’s new teammate) Eli Manning.

“He’s like a black Eli Manning,” she told The New York Post last week. “The personality, his facial expressions, the whole nine.”

The cornerback isn’t taken aback one bit by his mother’s new-found fame or her pride in expressing herself.
“It does not surprise me one bit,” Apple said. “I kind of expected it. It was something that I was thinking that I would have to account for because I know how she is and I know her personality on Twitter and out in public. I’m fine with it. It’s nothing surprising at all.”

In the NFL, first-round pick success isn’t guaranteed but one thing is certain: Eli Apple’s mother is becoming a social media superstar right before our eyes.

Done. I'm not sure how this many generous and awesome people made it here, but that's why I've stayed since the beginning. Thank you Cappy and GM. You were raised right.

When I tried to donate, I got a message saying there was a problem with this account and that the organizer should check up on it.

Someone please PM him and let him know.
