The strips at the store are perfectly safe. They just aren't terribly strong because there is a cap to how strong of a solution they can sell over the counter.

For many people with mild stains, they work just fine. No question that the store strips and people that do whitening at malls and tanning salons and stuff have cut down on my whitening I do at the office... probably by as much as 50% compared to what I was doing in 2002.. and I haven't increased the price of the treatment since 2002.

For people with deeper stains, you probably aren't going to get anywhere without a professional treatment.

I utilize the trays..and even with the "light" which is mostly a bogus short term result device, those people make trays for you as well... which you can wear at day or night.

I've had pretty good results with whitening.. but only from people who were really willing to commit to the trays and do them for several weeks... and much like working out or eating right... many people give up on the trays before they get the result they were hoping for.... they want a quick solution... and there just isn't an instant solution.

I always get the same little brown stain on the bottom of one of my teeth. I asked the oral hygienist how I can prevent that "and don't say don't drink coffee". She said drink coffee with a straw. Yeah I think I'll just live with the stain.

Teeth whitening is a huge scam... you can do it yourself at home, almost free! Dentists are all effing scammers!

1) lightly abrade your front teeth with the finest grit sandpaper you can get at the hardware store, and roughen those teeth up a bit

2) make up a paste by mixing something really fine grit like baby food oatmeal, hydrogen peroxide, and a very tiny amount of bleach (be careful with this, you know the stuff is toxic)... brush that into your teeth HARD

you can afford to smoke/vape but can't afford like $400-500 for a pro whitening treatment from a respectable place?

You've spent thousands of dollars on your teeth yellowing treatment... amirite?

$500 for "pro whitening" by your $15/per hour dental assistant?

I only charge $350, and my assistant makes $18 an hour, and I'm probably into it for at least $50 in supplies.

So there's really only about $280 of profit..........

How do you sleep at night? SMH
