Man... whats the story here? RBs having a field day against this defense. I'm going to temper back my expectations for the RBs. Definantly preseason...

Might as well speak the truth here.Titans = Bad.Expect no better than another top 3 pick. The team, with a couple exceptions, is horrendous.
Maybe Floyd Reese's last year maybe. Not Fishers. Reese is the freaking idiot.I think I read somewhere that Fisher has only a handful of winning seasons in his tenure.........methinks this will be his last year.
Maybe at managing the cap, but SOMEBODY in the organization is doing something right when it comes to talent evaluation. Tennessee is, over the past decade, easily one of the top-5 teams in terms of talent evaluation. I believe that Tennessee has drafted more players who are currently starters in the NFL than any other team. The big problem, of course, is that they just can't afford to keep them arround, due to some horrendous cap mismanagement. As far as Fisher goes... he is extremely highly regarded for someone with such a pedestrian resume. 4 winning seasons, 4 losing seasons, 3 years of 8-8, and a 53.3% winning percentage. 5-4 in the playoffs is decent, but not spectacular, and he has no SB wins. He's really only had ONE elite season from his offense or defense in his 12 seasons (that 2000 Tennessee Defense was quietly one of the best in history, but no one remembers it because it was in the shadow of the 2000 Baltimore Ravens). Of the 48 statistical finishes by Tennessee under Fisher (Offensive Yards, Offensive Points, Defensive Yards, Defensive Points, all times 12 seasons), only 11 times has his team finished in the top 10.I'd always mindlessly accepted the mantra that Fisher was one of the best coaches in the entire NFL, but now I'm really beginning to question it. 8.5 average wins per season just isn't going to cut it.Maybe Floyd Reese's last year maybe. 8.5 wins per year indicates an above average coach, but when (as you point out), the team drafts well, maybe not. Then again, as I look at the drafts since 2001, I'm not overly impressed. Not Detroit level bad, but I'd be surprised if your "top 5" or "I believe that Tennessee has drafted more players who are currently starters in the NFL than any other team." statements are accurate. They might be, but the team hasn't drafted a true, consistent difference maker since Bulluck (Troupe might be, but hasn't been consistent yet, Haynesworth has shown flashes as well)It should be noted that Tennessee left its first-string defense in for the entire first half against Denver last week, and Denver's second string offense just embarassed them. Denver didn't punt until there were 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

I was discussing this the other day. You don't hear about it (or at least I don't) but you have to think both Fisher and Reese are on the hot seat. We all know the Titans are going to be terrible. So can Fisher survive a 3-13 campaign? How long does one Super Bowl run buy you as an NFL coach?Maybe Floyd Reese's last year maybe. Not Fishers. Ahem, BULLUCKDo they have any defensive players left? No.
I agree that he's certainly an ABOVE AVERAGE coach, and I cut him a little bit of slack because of how gutted his roster has been over the last 2 years, but to hear pundits talk about him, they're discussing him as if he's one of the top-10 and possibly top-5 most highly regarded coaches in the league.8.5 wins per year indicates an above average coach, but when (as you point out), the team drafts well, maybe not. Then again, as I look at the drafts since 2001, I'm not overly impressed.
