Tennis - Sinner accepts three month ban - won't miss Roland Garros (1 Viewer)

She was hilarious in the interview
Highly, highly entertaining.
What did she do?
Just to be clear, I was talking about Vinci's on court interview with that nitwit Rinaldi. He said something about her being 300-1 to win the match, her eyes got real big, then she started yelling to her coach in Italian.

He also asked her if, when she woke up this morning, she thought she could win. She looked at him like he was an idiot and said "no!".
Ha! That's awesome.

I don't watch much women's sports, but did see Serena's post-match press conference.

Are these women always so See You Next Tuesday-y?

I think the actual line of questioning made it even better. It was more along the lines of "When you woke up this morning, what was it that made you believe you could win?" to which she gave him that no-#######-way answer.

Does Serena always look so pained every time she loses a point and so annoying everytime she wins one? I swear she yelled "yeah #####!" At least a dozen times after winning a point.

When Serena played her sister a few days ago, Serena was over dramatic every time she hit a winner. Venus hardly showed any emotion at all. Everyone knew it was Serena's time to win - there was no f'ing way Venus was going to keep Serena from the grand slam. Serena was cranking the 120+ mph serves though.

RF is 34, in tennis years that's older than OPM. The fact that he's still near the top is amazing. If Djovicic wasn't so dominant, RF would be on the most impressive decade possibly ever.

Yes...usually has tears in her eyes acting like she's suffering from a debilitating disease every time she is down in a match. Celebrates when she crushes a qualifier in Round 1 like she just won the tournament. One of the most classless athletes I can think of.

Federer leads Djokovic all-time 21-20.

13 GS matches against each (9 times GS semis.)

Roger is the man to have beaten Novak in all four GS tournaments.

Novak is the man to have beaten Roger in all four GS tournaments.

As great as Fed played, and as much as I want him to win, I just can't see him keeping this up against the Joker. Regardless of the outcome, Fed has cemented his status of the GOAT with his play this year.

Thoughts on Cilic? At +$2500, I like those odds. His play hasn't been stellar, but if he can put his serve together for two matches at Arthur Ashe, it is really difficult to break the guy.
It cannot be 25:1. I see it at +550 to +600. If you are seeing those insane odds for a semi-final match, load it up and hedge on Joker on another site and take the free money.
sorry those are to win it all, he is +550 for tonight
Gotcha. Overlooked your two match statement. I could not believe Joker cruised so easily and Fed owned Wawrinka. Definitely one of the quickest men's Major semi-final showing that I recall.

Roger will need to serve out of his mind on Sunday to win. The partial roof will help but I'd like his chances if this was a faster hard court. I'd say he had about a 25% chance of winning, I will root for him as always but fairly resigned to the fact that Novak should win.

I'd give him closer to 35 percent to win, but he'll have to serve really strong like in cincy, and that's tough to

Do for three sets.

I feel like if Federer was going to beat nole, it would be at Wimbledon and he was handled there.

On hard court Novak Djokovic is a clear favorite.

But hey, anyone in a zone can win.. See the French Open that stan had no business winning.

It would be pretty wild to win a uso a full 7 years since your last win

Believe it or not, the oddsmakers only have it at 54/46 for Djoker. That's much closer than I'd have guessed. Getting Djokovic at 13/15 seems like pretty good odds.

The Wikipedia article on the Federer - Djokovic rivalry is worth reading.

The two most commonly meet on hard courts with 29 of their 40 matches taking place on the surface. Federer currently leads the head-to-head 16-14 on hard courts. The two are tied 4-4 in hard court Grand Slams, with Federer holding a 3-2 advantage at the US Open and Djokovic leading 2-1 at the Australian Open. To date Federer and Djokovic have only played one Grand Slam final on hard court against each other in their careers, due to being drawn to meet in the semifinals more often than not. They met in four straight US Open semifinals from 2008 to 2011. They also met in two semifinals in Australia, one in 2008 and another in 2011.

Hard court is widely considered to be Djokovic's best surface with Djokovic himself stating that it's his most successful and preferred surface.[61] Their first seven Grand Slam meetings took place on hard court in either the Australian Open or US Open, before finally meeting at the French Open in 2011. Statistically Federer is the best hard court player of the Open Era. He has the most hard court titles of all time with 59, while Djokovic is fourth all-time with 38 titles. On 2 February 2015, Federer and Djokovic were tied with an 83% hard court win percentage - the best of all time. Both players, along with Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl, are the only four men in tennis history to have winning percentages above 82% on hard court.

Not too shabby to take home a $3 million lump-sum retirement check on her final day of work.

That said, its funny to see all the Serena ads running now.

Read that the get-in tickets to today's womens final lost 85% of their value when Serena lost.

That first set sums up Roger's last 3 years - he just can't beat Joker even with plenty of chances to do so. I hope he turns it around but I think it's mental now. But it's crazy how good he plays until he gets to Novak (or Nadal on clay)

Joker is just too good.
Joker is great but let's be honest, Fed is blowing chance after chance. It's kind of hard to watch.
Very hard to watch. No one to blame but himself when he loses
I'm out if/when Joker wins this set. This is almost more odd to me than Tiger. Tiger has NO confidence and is basically done. Federer is still the 2nd best player in the world and if Joker wasn't around could have 2-3 more major titles.
