You can tell when a guy is just "on"...Rafa is really feeling it and going for some serious winners and nailing them.

 
Are any of you guys up and watching this?

Unless something drastic happens soon...this will be a mudstomping.

I can't remember the last time I saw Rafa this dialed in...even his service game is eye-opening.

 
Dimitrov just found another gear for his service game...quick hold of service.

Nadal hitting backhands to the back of the tape...over and over.

Haven't seen Nadal serve this well in forever...just blanked Grigor to hold serve.

Now up 5-2

Rafa just ran Grigor in the ground...13 shot rally...every one of them to opposite corners before Grigor finally missed one.

 
Uh Oh...judge hits Rafa with a time violation.

Obviously pissed off Rafa.

Grigor breaks Rafa easily while hitting perfectly.

 
Looks like the adrenaline has worn off on Rafa a bit...

But he's now rallying to battle back...will be interesting to see if he can get back into this second set.

I think most would've just wrote it off and regrouped in the third.

 
Rafa breaks Dimitrov.

Little of Rafa battling and some of Dimitrov gifting it with bad choices.

Going to be a tremendous second set.

Match hinges on this set for Dimitrov in my opinion.

Amazing...Nadal saved ten straight set points to win that game.

Tied 5-5

I don't believe there is a better pressure player than Nadal...ever.

 
Dimitrov hitting deep shots perfectly...battles to win the 2nd set.

We've got the makings of an all-time great match here.

 
Everything going Dimitrov's way at the moment...

He's going for big shots and making them...got the full momentum and even getting a double net cord point where his ball hits...goes straight up and hits it again and still falls over to give him the point.

I still think Rafa is just stalking...waiting for the perfect opportunity to throw everything he has into a break opportunity but the longer this rally of Grigor's goes...the more it's going to boost his confidence.

 
Beautiful point by Rafa there...running Grigor and then actually making him do a split twice during it.

Nadal making this a physical slugfest.

 
Something about Dimitrov's coach's face that I do NOT like...

He just looks like a dude that I would not get along with at all.

There's the break Rafa was looking for...

Dimitrov has shown that he can bounce back and keep his intensity high enough to break back...

However, Nadal will probably seize this opportunity to shut the door.

Rafa has definitely lost a tiny bit of his speed.

Shot down the line gets past him...that didn't use to get past him.

Grigor steps up play and breaks Rafa back.

 
Looks like Rafa has him...even if Grigor can get this to tiebreak...he can't like his chances of beating him at this point.

 
sensational tennis

really impressed with Grigor, this is the guy we thought was Fed Jr when he won the Wimbledon / US Open juniors 

he's floundered the last couple years but really good all arounder

 
Unbelievable level of tennis from both guys in the 5th.

Grigor will definitely kick butt this year with this kind of play.
