**Texans at Jaguars** (-7.5, 43.5) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

We're still waiting for Mr. Lawrence to "take the next step" and become an elite NFL quarterback. Certainly a big chance here at home against The Texans who he has struggles with in the past.
Jags are the better team for sure. I think they show that today and Mr. Lawrence has a nice game...

Duvall- 34
Houston- 24

Did you not see the 27-0 deficit erased in the Playoff game last year in Jacksonville?
They cruised over the Colts, lost to the Chiefs in a somewhat strange fashion with only 26 point scored total in that football game
I think the Jags should have their way today

Jags 30
Texans 14

43.5 you say, eh?

WTF Jones. The backup guard having to play left tackle, running play runs inside to block no one, lets his guy run right past him and then turns to follow him.

Jags miss FG. Next possession, Pierce with a catch and a few runs, then Stroud 46 yard pass to Tank Dell down to the 2 yard line. Pierce punches in the TD.

Not that it mattered, but that was an utter BS call. One player was in motion. The guard was looking over his shoulder and did the motion to snap for the center, but he didn't move. Just bad.

Ridley was back in, then took a shot in the hand and is down again. Maybe it was a knee, thought he was holding his hand.

Texans drive the field, TD pass to Brevin Jordan. O-line playing a better overall. Jags bringing extra guys but Stroud getting rid of the ball to beat the blitz.

Jags kind enough to trade back a false start. These teams are polite with each other like that. (Narrator: "These two teams are not polite with each other like that")

Stroud really passing the eye test in these first few games
I have felt all along and you can ask the Texans fan base here because I post in their team thread, I've thought Stroud was the best of the top 3
You add in the Defensive Stud in the making they drafted and they got a lot better in 2023 from where they were in 2022
Just gotta stack the Draft classes next couple years

Texans from their 32 with 1:04 to go. Make it to the ten yard line with 2 seconds left and FG to end the half.

That you did, you were pushing that Houston should draft Stroud from the get go. I was wanting Young but glad you don't seem to have been off, at least so far to date.

Stroud has had a lot of pressure the first 2 games with the OL playing so horrible with backups, but he handled it well. I mean didn't start seeing shadows like David Carr or the like.

On kickoff Texans up man (a fullback) handles short kickoff. Fumbles it as returner bumps him. Picks it up and returns it for a touchdown.

And tomorrow we find out how many fantasy leagues don't have "muff return touchdown" in their scoring system.

Even if the Texans end up blowing this in the 4th, it's been a fun game to watch. Great to see them play with some heart and compete despite all the injuries. Hats off to Demeco for apparently righting the ship.

Picked the Jags in my survivor pool this week.

Guess Im gonna go to the 49er game in Jax this season so I can watch them get smoked in person.

Texans rest Pierce, bunch of I-formation runs with Singletary down inside the 20 to burn up clock. About to try a field goal. (It's good)

CJ Stroud passed Mahomes and Hebert for most passing yards in first 3 games of career, trails only Cam Newton in that.

Closing in on Brady for most passes without an INT starting out a career.
