Texas attorney arrested for Assault w/Deadly Weapon[Road Rage] (1 Viewer)

I agree with IK. Particularly since the AG is going to be the next governor. Disappointing article.

I do like that they say the video shows her following the other car in while she is busy saying they followed her. Aren't lawyers supposed to be better liars than that?

I'm going to speculate that this person may not be on the right hand side of the bell curve among attorneys. Most of them have enough sense not to go around waving a gun at people over minor traffic issues.

I think you are probably right.

The title is misleading -- she's not the state's AG.
She isn't even a prosecutor she works for Child Services unless I read wrong.
Eh, it depends on how you define prosecutor. If my reading and interpretation is correct, she's technically employed by the prosecutor's office but has the job of being the lawyer for CPS. Basically, her job is to then file CPS cases (called Dependency/Severance law) and, essentially, argue in court that a parent's rights to his or her kid should be taken away. Generally to prove that she must show a parent is unfit and most likely a physical danger to the child.

Despite my fear of over-generalizing here, typically a mindset of the lawyer who represents the state's interest/CPS is going to be very similar to that of a prosecutor. Consequently, the few "bad ones" are going to have a God complex.

This really reinforces my view that CPS is a bad idea. We need a way to be smarter about taking kids away from abusive parents. The fact that this woman was employed there is hardly surprising. The only social worker I have ever known was a drug addict mentally unhinged maniac.
