The title is misleading -- she's not the state's AG.
She isn't even a prosecutor she works for Child Services unless I read wrong.
Eh, it depends on how you define prosecutor. If my reading and interpretation is correct, she's technically employed by the prosecutor's office but has the job of being the lawyer for CPS. Basically, her job is to then file CPS cases (called Dependency/Severance law) and, essentially, argue in court that a parent's rights to his or her kid should be taken away. Generally to prove that she must show a parent is unfit and most likely a physical danger to the child.
Despite my fear of over-generalizing here, typically a mindset of the lawyer who represents the state's interest/CPS is going to be very similar to that of a prosecutor. Consequently, the few "bad ones" are going to have a God complex.
