Perhaps you need a new hobby: knitting, needlepoint, paper dolls!? although, you would have no one to blame when you miss a stitch!!Dodds, did the new "cross-stitch" update come out yet?
WHO DID YOU PICK THAT RUINED YOUR SEASON?? RICKY WILLIAMS??Obviously no one is getting the point.I've got LOTS OF STUFF going on in my life right now and I can't focus on stats and news like I usually do. Moving, school, 2 jobs, travel barely making it to the draft on time I trusted top 200 could at least get me through the draft with some good value picks not screw up my season. So I guess FBG can do no wrong. What a waste of time to even complain.
Nobody wants to be accountable for their actions these days. Everybody wants stuff handed to them. Why don't you just go ahead and slap FBG with a lawsuit.J Maddi, you should be beaten within an inch of your f$%king life; you miserable, whiny piece of crap.AAAhhhhhhhh.....feeling much better now.I have lots of stuff going on right now and do not have time to read EVERY SINGLE NFL news blurb and check the boards every day. That is why I plunked down the money for FBG. Well we had our draft last night and thanks to FBG I might as well have thrown away my franchise fee. How hard is it to make adjustments like TAKING INJURED PLAYERS OFF THE TOP 200? Maybe 30 secs? FBG can't take 30 secs to update the ^%#^%$$ TOP 200? Lots of people use it for drafts since it easy to print and has all the value picks and you don't have to read every single article about every single game to be prepared for the draft. I don't have time to read Joe's spam three times a day either.Maybe FBG does not have time to update the list every week but like I said there is NO EXCUSE to have players still on that list as of today who were injured more than a week ago!NO EXCUSEThanks a lot for ruining my season. I don't want a refund unless FBG will also refund my franchise fee.I also notice other subscribers having issues with the cheatsheets too so I guess its time to reevaluate priorities around here?
Finally, I can say that I'm a very important person here (STC #1! STC #1!)My question is this: you had the tenth pick out of ten teams, and using the Top 200 performance list, you picked Rudi, who is listed no higher than RB12 on any of those lists. But the lists would have told you to pick a guy like Barlow or Taylor.90 User(s) are reading this topic (35 Guests and 2 Anonymous Users)

Heck, I'll take a stab at working out a team improvement strategy. I will assume a starting lineup of QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K, D. If you start 2 QBs, have a flex position, or something like that, let me know.Let's lay out your roster to make it easier to read:Thanks for manning up on the refund offer.
I am sending you an email too about something else.
Here are the players I drafted in order: Rudi Johnson, Harrison, Gonzalez, Chambers, Buckhalter, Minor, Brady, Garcia, Northcutt, Dayne, Carr, Glenn, Witten, Vinatieri, Richie Anderson, Rams, Jay Feely, Corey Bradford.
As you can see I thought I was fine at RB. Now I probably have to trade off Harrison to get another RB whose not on IR or lost their job. If the info had been correct I would have had a stacked team instead of an inbox full of trade offers for Harrison.
That's why having one bad pick due to bad information can ruin a draft.
While I too don't have time to read every word in Joe's daily updates (or "spam" as you call them), do yourself a favor and read the topics covered in the e-mail. They are at the top right under the "stuff new on the web" section.Scan the topics and you can learn quite a bit. Reading just the "our view" section of each topic and you'd have known since last year that Buckhalter was not the "starter," but was part of an RBBC.Minimal investment on your time would have prevented this mistake.Quit making the excuse that's it's been the past couple weeks. Buckhalter has always shared the backfield. You are just a lazy FF player and are embarassed you made a mistake. Grow up.I don't understand if Buckhalter was not the starter why was he so high up there on the top 200?

This clearly shows that you eschewed the list and made your own judgement as far as who to draft.
Don't blame the tool for failing you when you yourself were making independent decisions based on its content.

So Bucky was your 50th overall pick, and by him getting injured your season is ruined?Does that mean that anyone who sustains an injury 1 through 49 will also have their season ruined? I mean, even if you just limit that train of though to RBs, peeps are going to get injured. It's part of the game. Hell, tons of people this year drafted BEFORE Boston / Williams / Boldin / Bucky etc. They aren't writting off their seasons!Don't you just love a challenge? A big name RB will go down, and a Dom Rhodes or a Naj Davenport will end up posting huge numbers. Just be ready to jump on them.If you were in my league and whinned like that, 11 other GMs would call you a p u s s y.Thanks for manning up on the refund offer. Couldn't agree more. I'm surprised no one has resorted to the old "4 digit vs 5 digit member number" dis yet.............Guys,A couple of things on this post.1) This is more than likely a fishing trip but if it is a ticked of client the best solution has already been offered in a money back guarntee. I aslo applaud the site owners for leaving the post of a dissatisfied customer for all to see.Assuming the story is true as we should.2) More than likely the poster heard this was the best site on the Net and rushed to sign up before the draft .3) I have a lower image of alot of the so called "sharks" after bashing someone instead of pointing him to the Assistant and trying to help him correct his situation. The bashing is only a negative reflection on the message board when a new subscriber comes to take a look.4) If any so called "Shark" thinks this site is a secret from the league mates then they are kidding them selves. You do a base search in yahoo of "Fantasy football tools" and guess which site is first on the list.5) The continual bashing of people using certain sites is another common theme here give it a break and support the hobby. All the bashing done on these boards just runs people off. It's amazing how immature the majority of people can be.6) I subscribed to Footballguys last year along with four other of my team mates and wasn't really impressed and have passed on it this year. The tools are nice but need alot of work and the information is just insights on things I've already decided on. Of the four of us one will be renewing the subscription because he liked the matchups that were done since he plays QBBC. I would look at joining again if a major revamp was done toward dynasty and auction.
SIDENOTE: How in the world do you add the (User @ date, time) part to a quote???I've been fighting this since they put in the new BBS and it driving me crazy
and a bunch of sharks on this board, but wouldn't it be satisfying to get all that money back.Maybe you should take a break this year, then. You sound pretty busy.Moving, school, 2 jobs, travel barely making it to the draft on time I trusted top 200 could at least get me through the draft with some good value picks not screw up my season.
I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with the service JMaddi.I know for a fact that Joe B. will gladly refund your subscription fee if you aren't happy with the service. That said, instead of vaguely exclaiming we 'ruined' your draft with the top-200 list, explain in detail 'HOW' we ruined the draft. Now if you are talking about one injured player (Buckhalter) being on the injured list, then your season should be far from over. Many of us have early drafts and we have to deal with injuries and the like that hardly destroy are fantasy chances that season and even a poor draft doesn't mean the season is wasted. Do some research now, read some of the excellent articles on the site and try to turn your negative into a positive.post your roster and we'll give you some advice on how to improve your lot for this season.I trusted top 200 could at least get me through the draft with some good value picks not screw up my season.
Hey guys how'd I do?QB- Q CarterRB - R WilliamsRB - C BuckhalterRB - T BellWR - D BostonWR - A BoldinWR - M BookerI just used a top 200 list I had laying around.![]()

See above -- J Maddi gave his roster.Post your roster and we'll give you some advice on how to improve your lot for this season.
Ohhh boy,First off drafting 10th in a 10 team draft should have warranted you a little better than drafting Rudi and Harrison at 10 and 11 since they are ranked 12 and 13. Your first mistake was not going RB, RB. Secondly, you then proceeded to draft TG (not bad) and Chambers before getting your RB2? To me that is where you blew your draft. You had 4 picks to get your 2 RBs and you elected to go with 1RB, 2 WRs and a TE. I am also finding it hard to believe no players fell to you and by looking at the top 200 list you picked players higher than where they were slotted anyway. You can't blame FBG for your draft. You made way too many mistakes aside from drafting Buck. Yeah, sorry. I really meant when you first post something negative like this pointing fingers and accusing us of destroying your draft. At least give us the facts and where it went wrong.See above -- J Maddi gave his roster.Post your roster and we'll give you some advice on how to improve your lot for this season.
Ain't that the truth! So you went RB, WR, TE, WR, RB? :rotflmao: Dude even if Buckhalter was healthy your team would've sucked ###.
Maybe that's the problem. He eschewed on the list, rendering it unreadable. This clearly shows that you eschewed the list and made your own judgement as far as who to draft.
Pics of daughter????J MaddiJust for reference linkShe used FBGs sheets and did oK This post has been edited by MikeDitka on Aug 25 2004, 06:07 PM

true storyI can't believe that you all are falling for this. If he was blindly following the FBG's rankings, as he said, then why did he take Rudi 10th, Harrison 11th, and Chambers 31st! Clearly a fishing trip.

Personally I think that's the best part of Fantasy Football. But then again I'm a true football fan. I like educating people on the sport and watching them grow to understand and enjoy it. I have seen people in leagues I play in go from not knowing a thing about football to being experts. In fact I've seen ladies in leagues that end up knowing more about the actual sport than there so called expert husbands who played one year in Junior High. The bad part about fantasy football are people that knock others for not knowing as much as they do. This makes everyone in the sport and the hobby off FF come off as jerks. And thus the bad part of fantasy football. You get non-football fans like this dork that get involved, just because its the "in thing".![]()

Things must be so hectic for you. It's amazing how much time you're able to spend in this thread today. To answer your question there's 10 teams and I had to pick last since I held up the draft for 30 minutes.I don't understand if Buckhalter was not the starter why was he so high up there on the top 200?For all the comments posted I am not a FF newbie. This is my thrid year and like I said things are just really hectic the past 2 weeks.
Good point.I can't believe that you all are falling for this. If he was blindly following the FBG's rankings, as he said, then why did he take Rudi 10th, Harrison 11th, and Chambers 31st! Clearly a fishing trip.
The whiny kid doesn't want to learn, he wants someone to do it for him. I think this is a big problem with kids today.I'm a true football fan. I like educating people on the sport and watching them grow to understand and enjoy it.

Kutta,Totally agree with you about the Crucifixion over wanting current information part. However, I disagree that the Cheatsheats weren't updated. Clayton Gray's 110 Cheatsheets were updated to include Buckhalter, readily available, and would have served him far better than a generic top 200 that wasn't formated to his league. The tools needed were right there on the front page of the site.I guess I am in the minority here, but I think he has a point. I think that the cheatsheets should be updated for injury as soon as possible, before the weekly updates. The guy bought the product and is not happy. That's cool. I think Joe and the gang will be gracious. But they should also consider keeping their information super current, especially within a few weeks of the start of the season.I think this website is the greatest thing going, and Joe and David put out a heck of a product. This is, for all intents and purposes the only FF website I use. But I don't think a guy deserves to be crucified for being upset that the cheatsheets were not up to date a couple of weeks before the season starts. He does, however, deserve to be crucified for drafting a seemingly healthy Buckhalter as his RB2.
Sorry, I had to quote this. I was laughing my ### off.. too funny
:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Sorry. That's all I have.
