The 2022 NFL Draft Thread (1 Viewer)

I hate it less now.
Oh you'll hate it more when I am done beating the Titans and their plans for '22 into the ground all summer, horrific move on their part. Afraid of drafting a STUD you eventually must pay?

GREAT SLOGAN for the team and message to other potential free agents and Draft prospects...we will trade you at your biggest moment, good job Titans, pat on the back baby.

Same player?!  Just draft the 5th best player at his position in a weak draft class and he's automatically as good as the all-pro that he physically compares to?  It's that easy?

Why are the Ravens paying LJax?  Just trade him to the Steelers and draft Malik Willis here.  Same player and you get some draft picks to boot...
It appears to be. When these guys are demanding to be paid as the best player at their position 3 years into their contract I think it’s brilliant to trade them for a similar player+ for a quarter of the cost.

Trying to understand the absurdity and reality of teams popping it into Neutral...

Titans trade AJB for #18 overall and settle for the 5th WR off the board...

-Where does this make them better anywhere as a football team?

Horn Please

Gonna need a 2nd Horn for this one

What would they want to pay a premier WR?

We have to stop patting teams on the back like we ourselves are involved in any way with the cash flow or the $212M they have to spend...how do we know not paying a WR top dollar is the way to go? Does Tennessee have any hardware to back up why we should pat them on the back and assume they know more?

Or are we comparing the absurd money we resent that folks make in the NFL in comparison to the piddly checks we all make that barely cover a weeks salary by some of these guys?

Perspective is all I'm saying. I don't care what the players make any more, Tennessee got a lot worse getting rid of AJB, they didn't upgrade with Burks IMHO...AJB has looked very special at times in his first 3 seasons, also battled some injuries but he has the goods.

Major downgrade for 2022...MAJOR

In fact now they should trade Tannehill because they are not sniffing another AFCC right now
the pats dominated for years pulling scraps off the trash heap at wr.

Ummm….not spending $25MM per year for a WR who will never be healthy?  That’s playing chess.  Eagles are playing checkers.
And the Titans are running laps around the other 31 teams

I'm not going to go after individual posters, not my style.

I'll keep it squarely on the Titans, not a fan of trading away AJB and finding solace in the fact they didn't spend money on him when most teams are shelling out major dollars is not reason to feel vindicated.

How much are the Titans sending each and every one of you for saying "I'm glad they didn't give AJB $25M"

WHY??? It's not your money and none of you know how to manage a cap, neither do I because I've never been an NFL GM.

Titans got worse, period. If you find solace and comfort that they didn't give AJB money, that seems weird and off base. The team has to spend like $200M a year, what do you want them to spend on?

Am I the only one that thinks the Eagles will regret this? A wr that can't stay healthy and looks like he has a knee issue and is going to want 20+ million per.

He is awesome though when he is healthy though.
I like it on its surface but I can't say the injuries didn't cross my mind.

Sure, and as a general principle I don’t disagree.  But 13% of your cap on a WR is significant.  And when that WR is built such that he can’t stay healthy?  I’m out.  I’ll take my chances on the rookie and use that $20MM per year elsewhere.  And possibly, ya know, on other STUDS STUDS STUDS.
