The 2022 NFL Draft Thread (2 Viewers)

With the 2nd and 12th you would hope right?
They only had #2 to start, I give them credit for moving up and feeling they had enough watching Williams fall down the board.

I think they got 2 impact players that will serve them well. I don't feel that way about all the teams, many seemed to take steps sideways.

And the Titans are running laps around the other 31 teams

I'm not going to go after individual posters, not my style.

I'll keep it squarely on the Titans, not a fan of trading away AJB and finding solace in the fact they didn't spend money on him when most teams are shelling out major dollars is not reason to feel vindicated.

How much are the Titans sending each and every one of you for saying "I'm glad they didn't give AJB $25M"

WHY??? It's not your money and none of you know how to manage a cap, neither do I because I've never been an NFL GM.

Titans got worse, period. If you find solace and comfort that they didn't give AJB money, that seems weird and off base. The team has to spend like $200M a year, what do you want them to spend on?

STUDS STUD STUDS and more STUDS
you are going to great lengths to convince yourself trading for Hill and paying him insane money was a great move.

Pretty clear the Pats feel the guy they want will still be there in 8 picks and they get a third and fourth for free.
Good move. I don't think they're set on just one guy, but the available players could include CB Booth or Elam, S Hill, LB Dean, which would all be good values at a position of need.

I agree but a little concerning Williams body language during that interview was absolutely horrible, he did not look happy at all. The Lions gave up very little to move up that far IMO.
Didn't see the interview, maybe he was overwhelmed or the prima donna of being taken 4th WR off the board. I feel once he gets there he will see they are building something solid in Detroit, i like his upside.

I'll have to see the interview, maybe he was confused or shy coming on stage, everyone is different in their first NFL interview...maybe the woman with the mic in his face smelled like beef and cheese.

I would add LLoyd to that list...will probably end up being some O lineman who we have never heard of.

I preferred edge there…but if he can olay right away with DeVondre Campbell…shoukd helo the D get better.   Its a solid puck (much more solid pick of they had a stronger WR room)

Oh you'll hate it more when I am done beating the Titans and their plans for '22 into the ground all summer, horrific move on their part. Afraid of drafting a STUD you eventually must pay?

GREAT SLOGAN for the team and message to other potential free agents and Draft prospects...we will trade you at your biggest moment, good job Titans, pat on the back baby.
I don’t really disagree but we’ll see what Vrabel can pull off.

A little easier when you have Tom Brady at QB.

And that's not to mention they were a helmet catch away from 19-0 when they actually got some WRs.
plenty of great wrs around the league when Brady was rolling. Also those wrs were pulled off the scrap heap and not eating up huge chunks of cap.

the pats dominated for years pulling scraps off the trash heap at wr.
Are you putting the Titans into the Patriots lore?

6 trophies in their case in the last 20 years?

Pats were known for their Defense before Brady starte throwing North of 4,000 yds and 25-30 TDs, the game has evolved and Brady went and won a SUper Bowl with a team that had talented WRs, he had to cover up a lot of issues on the Pats Offense, not sure every team has that same capability or a HoF Head Coach running the ship

I'm saying it's an unfair comparison and I don't get any satisfaction watching teams short change or go cheap at a position and then pat them on the back.

Whatever the $$$, the Titans were better when they had AJB on the team...it's OK, I'm sure Burks will make folks forget about that other guy

On many draft boards, Quay Walker was a 3rd round grade. Might've been available in the late 2nd if they really liked him.

A boatload went earlier. Not sure you take the what, 7th WR off the board in the first round. WR run pushing other players later into the first round.

5 minutes ago you implied the 5th WR off the board was an easy plug and play replacement for one of the best WRs in the league...

If it ends up being Lloyd, they got a bunch of people to be good at keeping a secret. I heard they really hadn’t expressed much interest in load. It was more the two LB from UGA.

Like the ravens moves

Marquis is a primadonna in waiting and isnt worth the drama headache he willl require to re-sign. Good luck to the cards with murray and brown, should be fun.

Surprised Jermaine Johnson is still there. Wonder if there's something specific, medical issue or something, that teams know about that the draft analysts don't.

absolutely NOT a fan of giving up picks, even late ones, to move up a single spot or two and draft a guy who isnt head and shoulders better then the next 2 or 3 guys and might have been available at the original draft spot anyway.

The player the Titans got is very similar to the one they just traded. It was a move to save money and cap dollars. I didn’t say I would have made that move, it was in reference to someone wondering if they were giving up.

Sure, and as a general principle I don’t disagree.  But 13% of your cap on a WR is significant.  And when that WR is built such that he can’t stay healthy?  I’m out.  I’ll take my chances on the rookie and use that $20MM per year elsewhere.  And possibly, ya know, on other STUDS STUDS STUDS.
Sounds great, start listing the STUDS, because AJB is a known commodity at this point, he's not a prospect any more.

Injuries are a concern, they were for Isaac Bruce as well. Again i think focusing on the $25M and hugging the pillow at night feeling solace the team didn't invest that money...free agency is over, where are you getting these STUDS for 2022?

And if not for 2022, what's the plan? '23, '24??? Derrick Henry is only getting older. T-Hill is no spring chicken

I don't see the grand plan for the Titans, maybe others see it and I just can't.

I don't understand this...the media has been talking about him as a potential fit a lot and how often is their draft info being leaked by the Pats.
