Game Players... go Rachel.

How can they set aside a plane without enough seats though? Kind of sucks.
I don't think any planes were set aside. It was up to the teams to find their own flights. By the time the stragglers from the last let got started, one filled up. Want better chances, finish faster.

Apparently the guy with the laptop in the airport trying to help Marge & Luke is a very active poster on Reality Fan Forum. A heavy- :nerd: group that over analyzes all reality shows. Like, they'll play the "find a better flight" game at home while they watch. He heard the game was in Malaysia and stayed in the airport all night hoping to see them. He tried really, really hard to get them on a better flight.

The advertising is always the same, you knew that since Brenchel was featured all week in the 'someone is in trouble' voice over that they would be fine. Pretty boring episode.

Man, if that message board is anything like this one, he's logging in today and seeing a whole lot of :own3d: posts.

Not much tension can be created when one team is out of it from the beginning.

They should have taken the same flight as Rachel. Sounds like the first flight was delayed on the runway for about an hour. The connecting fight that Rachel needed to make was also delayed and they had more then enough time to make it.

If they knew Rachel was taking the riskier flight, they should absolutely have gone for the same one. Worst case, you both arrive at the same time and can fight out head-to-head the whole leg to pass them. They ended up like 7 hours behind the pack with no bunching after they landed, no chance to catch up.

To be fair, he did title his post (back in December) "How I (kinda) got Margie and Luke eliminated"

Tidbits: the Kuala Lumpur leg was a last-minute replacement for another destination that fell through. Every time you see people book online, including Travelocity, on the show, it's fake... production won't let them book if it requires an email address. You can look online then you have to call the airline or travel agency with the desired itinerary. The camera guy is also the rules judge while teams are in motion. At one point he was on two laptops and a smartphone looking up several connections at the same time.

Yeah they might not have known about Rachel. They might have thought they had been eliminated. Reading that spoiler they did say they were the last team.

Given the conversations we saw at the airport, it appears that none of the teams initially knew that the previous leg was non-elim.

Nope, just that the ad tries to lean you to believe Brenchel would be eliminated when 15 minutes into the episode it is clear they are safe and we have 45 minutes of knowing it is Margie and Luke. So they got 1 minute of drama from their storyline.

I meant that for the "Pretty boring episode" comment. I never believe what they show on previews. Same with Survivor.

I wanted to see Luke struggling to sew that shirt with nobody else there. Or perhaps he had mommy do it? That's 3 times now they've been on so hopefully that is the last of them.

Leo was killing me this episode. "I give 1,000 rupees for someone to do this for me!" :lmao:

And I actually cheered out loud when Brenchel made their connecting flight. :bag:

What has happened to Rachel? If there weren't the history to consider, she might be...I hate to type this...likable. I was definitely happy to see the YouTubers and Margie and her useless son eliminated before Brenchel. Now it gets tough, though...lots of appealing teams left.

Looks like she has her meltdown next episode.

Yeah it's all editing at this point. They kind of give a hint of things might be gong on in this weekd show when one of the cowboys wakes up one of the country girls and tells her "Racheal says hi". How much they will show?

I cheered again when Brenchel made the train.
She's almost a totally different person this year. I still root against them compared to the other teams, all of whom are pretty likable.

Hate seeing another non-elimination leg so soon after the first one. I really wish they did only one per season.

Overall a really "meh" episode--they kept getting bunched up on the trains, which made all but the last challenge unimportant. Watching the elephants move those logs was pretty cool, though.

I agree, 2 NEL in 3 weeks is too much. Although I found this to be a pretty action-packed episode and pretty tightly contested.

I would like to see no non-eliminations and just add 2-3 more teams.

It saved the boobies this week, so it can't be all bad.

Yeah, at least it was the boobs. I wonder why they don't wear tiny shorts with the tanktops. I mean, it's hot in Sri Lanka and Africa and stuff... lets see the legs!!

I agree with this, Rachel has been just fine.

Glad to see Margie and Norman Bates out.

Man, I love that stupid look on John's face when he realized that he got eliminated again.

The best part is that they got eliminated because his girlfriend/fiancee/wife asked Leo and Jamal for the answer. They gave it to both teams and the globetrotters were not going to get that challenge. They shot themselves in the foot again.

I thought the Afghanimals told both teams the answer for agreeing not to U turn them in the future. Maybe I am wrong but I thought that was what happened.

They did, but only after John's chiquita asked them to help John. It seemed like they only helped the globetrotters after they agreed to help John. At that point, all 3 thought the country singers were still behind them. Thus John's befuddled look as he was eliminated.

I will add, that I am not 100%, but I could have sworn that John's lady (sorry, can't recall her name or status) started the whole discussion about helping. I think the Afghanimals agreed to help both and neither cared because they all assumed they were safe.

The first rule of Amazing Race ... Read the Clue!! Flight Time was killing me.

I know I'm a :nerd: , but do people really not know how to read Roman Numerals?

Knew they were going to lose when they rehashed the Express Pass thing again in the beginning. Wish they could have gone out looking even stupider.

How did they even get that close to the Globetrotters anyway? John had to run back and get a postcard. The pit stop was not that far from the steps.

Dave and Connor seemed like big babies after they were U-Turned. It is part of the game. I like them more than Brachel, but damn, man up.

Agreed, especially the "60 year old man" stuff. But I also think it is stupid to use a U-Turn to come in first place on a leg. The only times I would use it would be for revenge or to not come in last. It's not worth getting a target place on you otherwise.

It was cool that Dave & Conner were upfront with Leo & Jamal and helped minimize the impact on them.

But I'm a 60 year old man!
I agree to an extent but it seems like most of the teams on this season have taken a stance of helping each other. I mean, Dave and Connor have been helping the blondes extensively the last couple of episodes. They helped the Afghanimals as well last night. I don't really get it since they're all competing against each other but, given that, I can see why they were a little peeved. If I were them, and the other teams, I'd just ostracize and try to hurt Brenchel whenever possible. Which seems like what they do based on the previews.

I was curious about the rules on that. Did Afghanimals still have to "check in" at the U-turn between tasks?
