1) So my son always copies his picures off by drag-and-drop. That's all the options I have to locally get them to my server. I really don't want to eat bandwidth with iCloud but it might be the only option. Kinda sucks though.2) I'm going to miss.3) I did find a work around for the e-mail, kinda sucks. I setup the built-in e-mail for personal then combined my two work accounts into one g-mail account (Account A pull Account B data). I then set up g-mail app to pull that account. Same effect just a lot messier.4) Basically i want to see my kids calendars on my iPhone on my schedule. My Windows phone accomplished this just by connecting to g-mail. It would then show all scheduled items in the color you select for each calendar. For example Mine would be Red, Sons Blue, Daughters Pink. So if we all had 4:00pm appointments I would see them all on one calendar screen.5) So to get unlimited music subscription I have to Jailbreak. Not good. I was hoping there was an equivalent service. 6) Really surprises me this is not available as on OS option. I mean navigation runs on the lock screen why not put a appointment there. Things I like so far.1) Album art on lock screen - Glad they copied the Windows Phone. This is a great feature.2) Navigation on lock screen - Very cool how I can turn on navigation and turn the screen off. It will then pop up when a turn is needed with moving map and all. It then goes off after the navigation point is completed.3) Creating a quick and dirt play list is nice. Thing that tick me off.1) No Player controls on lock screen. If music is playing I should not have to double tap Home key to get player controls.2) No appointment on lock screen. I have to actually unlock device and pull down notifications to see next appointment.3) No wireless-sync of photos/videos to iTunes. To have such a nice camera this is a shame.4) I'm really worried about the Home button breaking. Seems like every action is attached to it.It doesn't feel as smooth as Windows Phone but so far it will work as a replacement. I do have to admit the build quality is much better than HTC (at least my old phone). Most of this you are going to have to jailbreak to get, and it would be a pretty dirty jailbreak. Widgets and things like that are pretty sketchy. Some of that is clean jailbreak material. 1) 5) 6) are all easy and stable jailbreaks. At times 1) gets through the app store without being caught by Apple. 2)3) are j/b widgets which are possible, but prone to crashes though I've never seen any with that exact implement of the music one you describe. I'm not sure I follow 4 exactly how you draw it up. That may be on a stock os if I interpret it in one way.Just got a new iPhone to replace my now deceased Windows Phone 7. Since Sprint no longer carries Windows Phone and I switched over to Apple mainly for the size and camera. I just an not a fan of close to 5" screen the to top Android phones have right now. My wife carries a Samsung with a 4.3" screen which is really nice. I have 14 days to decide if I want to move to Android or not. My primary uses are Music, Podcasts, E-mail, Calendar, GPS, and light photography. I have a 7" tablet for Video, Games and Reading. So here are a few questions.1) Pictures/Videos-Looking for way to synch pictures and videos to my NAS at night. Old system I could just plug-in and it would wireless sync everything to my sercer connected NAS. 2) Music - Is there a way to pin your favorite artists to the app screen. In windows I could pin them and just flick down to get to my favorite artist/new albums, etc.3) Email - Is there a way to pin individual mail accounts to the app screen. I have three separate e-mail accounts and I would pin each one to my app screen and would get a count of new e-mails in each.4) Calendar - Is there a way to see shared google calendars. Old phone I could toggle the entire families and assistants calendar on and off depending on who's day I needed see.5) Music - Looking for unlimited music options. I used the Zune pass on my old phone which gave me unlimited access to the Zune library and 10 free songs for $15 a month.6) Calendar - Is there a way to see the next appointment in the lock screen?Sure there are a lot more questions. So far the phone is Ok but setup and options are very odd to me.
I love this.
Basically you load up a credit or deposit money into a google account. Walk up tap the phone on this and it pays. No scanning or opening apps etc.
I don't know how well it worksI thought apple introduced something similar, I like to keep on top of the iphone so I can compare it for when it is upgrade time
