This always sucked. How can anyone at Apple not notice how intrusive the volume indicator is when watching a movie???

 
You know if you tap the screen once the bars at top and bottom of the screen disappear, right? Why are yas watching videos with the bars constantly shown? :confused:

 
the fast picture thing (just hold your finger on the camera button for rapid pictures) is awesome for taking pics of the kids when they're doing stuff

well yeah. there was a draft app and a magazine app released this year. I think the magazine was for tablets only though.

it's not just you though. that app (FBG Mobile) was designed awhile back so probably hasn't been updated with the new screen sizes of the iphone 5+. I hadn't checked it out in awhile but went in now with my iphone 5 and verified that there is some black showing at the top and bottom of the screen.

Not jumping in here to comment on an IPhone 5c or 5s but just jumping in to praise Apple's service.

Cracked my Iphone 5 screen in August went to check if it could be replaced because it had been less than a year. Wanted like $150 for a new screen so I decided to hold out and check with Verizon insurance and they wanted like $180. Got kind of busy and just neglected getting the phone fixed until today when I went into Apple. They replaced the whole Iphone for free. Ended with a new Iphone 5 which I am more than happy with.

Just assuming it was a case of a nice Apple "genius" combined with the fact they have a new iphone out and probably don't mind giving away an Iphone 5. Either way, I am pretty happy with Apple.

ive exchanged two phones at the genius bar with no issues in the past couple months. as long as there isnt water damage and you have warranty they swap it out

 
My apologies if this has been asked and answered but I'm using the Mint.com app and it's pretty cool but I can't figure out how to add my IRA and 401K info. Can anyone help with that? Post here or message me. Thanks in advance. :)

mint can choke on retirement accounts. It depends on where they are housed and how you have to authenticate to access them. Mint HATES 2 factor authentication which is all the rage.

It looks like the only way to add an account is if it matches up with one of the banks on its list. So if your bank isn't on the list it can't be added. Is that correct or am I missing something?

Not having this exact trouble, but before the update I was really unhappy with how Safari ran. I started using the Mercury browser instead and I really like it. Might help with your problem if you don't mind trying out a new browswer. I will say that since the update Safari seems to run better on my phone and I'm now using them sort of 50/50.

Yeah, this has caused me a confusion a couple of times. Overall though I'm really happy with all of the changes to the OS.

I also came from 4s. I love it, super fast and the fingerprint sensor is really nice.

I got the gold because I was going to sell it, but once it came I couldn't resist keeping it.

If I knew I was going to keep it I would have went with the space gray, but the gold is subdued and not blingy.

It's nicer than my 4s and the fingerprint sensor is great, but I'm not sure I would have been in a hurry to upgrade if my screen on the old one hadn't been broken.

iOS 7 question: is there any way to delete messages from the inbox view, rather than having to go into the message itself and delete it from that view ? You used to be able to swipe and delete from the inbox view, but that doesn't work anymore.

It depends on the provider. If I swipe left on an outlook email I can delete it. On a gmail, I can archive it or move it which takes a few steps.

We picked up a 5c for my son the other day. The last green one they had at the T-Mobile store. He's gonna be stoked.

Surprised, the pages render FAR faster on the 5s than the 4s and pages rarely reload every time you switch browser tabs.

It's just such a smoother and faster experience than the 4s.

Can't speak about if it's worth it to go from 5 to 5s, but going from 4s to 5s is a huge upgrade IMO

It's an upgrade for sure, but there's no increase in functionality for what I'm using the phone for. My wife might upgrade at some point but isn't in a hurry.

I guess if you don't browse a lot on your phone it's not hugely different. I use my phone to browse a lot and it's a humongous difference for me.

 
Yeah, I went from a 4 to a 5 a year ago and the speed difference is amazing. When I use my wife's 4s it feels positively slow.

 
Finally upgraded to iOS 7 and while it fixes some things (good bye VIP finally!), it still stinks on other. I'm really getting tired of iTunes too. It just sucks. For a product that used to be all about "it just works", I'm finding this less and less to be the case.
