Same here. It just looks too cartoonish and the color schemes are awful. I liked the darker backgrounds and color differentiation of areas on the screen.

I hated it for the first few days but I'm fine with it now

This is an old issue I think. It's a router setting problem. Let me see if I can dig it up. What type of router do you have?

Where's goonsquad when you need him?? I downloaded the new os onto my iPod to see what all the fuss was about. I don't get it. Nothing earth shattering (good or bad). I do have a recommendation for Apple though...instead of handling these cosmetic changes via complete OS change, why not just go to "themes" of some sort. Seems a whole lot easier and I know it'd be cheaper.

Try turning off the Quality Of Service Manager (QOS) in your traffic manager in this router. Certain routers call this "Multi Media Services". If you happen to see both of these as an option make sure they are off.

Best Buy to sell 5C for $50. Well I think you pay normal $99 then get a $50 gift card. Radio Shack to sell it for $50, and Walmart will sell it for $45. With Walmart's sales tax practice, that makes it a great deal.

I really like the 5c. It feels very sturdy and solid and has good weight. I fully expect the next iPad announcement (next month I think) to include various colors of the iPad mini as well.

Most are sticking with 5 if dad won't spring for the gold 5s.

Sales of 5s are greatly below target.

The % is not an absolute %, but a prediction of where you are based on behavior. If you are at 10% after a very high load and then plug in it will adjust your SOC higher to where it is closer to the actual SOC. SOC below about 20% is conservative, above 80 it is aggressive.

I used my friend's 5s for a while before making my decision and I don't agree with you that it was a huge leap in performance to my 4. While I agree there are a lot more quality phones out there, I don't feel Apple has upgraded their iPhone with anything that would make me want to upgrade to their current versions and I've been hoping the 5s would have been that leap, but I kept getting dissappointed. The Note 3 however, did not disappoint me. Maybe the 'new phone high' will wear off in a few weeks, and if it does, I'll report back what I think, but right now I'm extremely happy.

The unlimited is most likely tied to your account, not to what type of phone you buy. I have AT&T with the grandfathered unlimited data and use Android, and I could switch to iPhone no problem (except then I'd have to use an iPhone, of course).

While I agree there are a lot more quality phones out there, I don't feel Apple has upgraded their iPhone with anything that would make me want to upgrade to their current versions and I've been hoping the 5s would have been that leap, but I kept getting dissappointed. The Note 3 however, did not disappoint me. Maybe the 'new phone high' will wear off in a few weeks, and if it does, I'll report back what I think, but right now I'm extremely happy.

There's a lot of performance upgrades for me in the combo of going from 4S to 5S with the shortcuts of iOS7. Including apps that have updated to 7. As for screen size, I'm fine with the iPhone's size. I've seen the bigger phones and I can't think of why I'd like to carry that around. I'm sure that I'd enjoy the screen for many uses, especially since I've started reading books on the phone (though it's not a flagship use), but the extra personal space it takes is less than my enjoyment I'd get out of it. If I need a bigger screen for something in particular, I can just bring my ipad.

This is exactly my point. FWIW, Android has a program similar to Siri and the fingerprint scanner is overkill and unnecessary for me. I was worried about losing my unlimited data plan with AT&T as well, so I called them first and confirmed you can go from Apple to Android and keep the unlimited data plan no problem. Really the only thing making me think about staying with Apple was the $25 in apps that I'd have to repurchase, but that's a drop in the bucket when getting a new phone that is clearly the best phone out there for me.

I plugged it in and the battery life said 37%. I unplugged it and it said low battery and 19%.

I have the regular 5 and it's done this a few times the past couple of weeks. I'm assuming its a bug with the software that's calculating the %.
