So happy I got the 6 and the not the 6 plus...

I have very large hands and still think the regular 6 is about as large a phone as I would like. My personal preference is one handed browsing on the phone, two hands are for tablets.
Funny, I was just coming here to post the opposite. I have had the 6+ for a while now. My sister just got the 6 and I got to play with it last night. I'm thrilled I stuck with the 6+. It's the perfect size for me.

Anyone having problems where the camera inverts the pictures? It's easy enough to fix in edit mode but now it's happening with videos as well

Really? The 6+ is massive... For browsing and most activities I assume you browse with two hands?

Are you using the phone correctly? When taking pictures the start button should be on your right. Camera in upper left corner.

Yep. If you're already nested into Google ecosystem and don't like the iOS interface, then I'd stay with android phones, IMO.
yeah...figured that is the right answer. i just really, really want to like iPhones. :kicksrock: There are things i like about iOS, but mostly i  the available apps and well defined accessory market. Android is still scattered when it comes to after market stuff. I can find it, just takes more effort.

will see what the better half wants as lets be honest, that is going to be main factor in this decision
The old MAC slogan now works for Android OS. "Crash Different"

Mac used to have stability issues on the desktop and crash all the time. Now a days iOS is such a stable OS because of the control apple has over the apps that you can put on it. On the flip side before my iPhone 5 and now 6+ I went through over 6 android devices (Moto, Thunderbolt, Charge) in 8 months with a verizon replacement plan to the point where I gave up replacing them as it wasn't hardware it was software and finally got my first iPhone and haven't looked back.

The stability issues I experienced were around teethering/hotspot and around application stability crashing.

I love the iPhone 6+ and I really think for a guy who is 6'2 pretty big hands it really is perfect for us non-petite types like my wife who really needs the smaller phone size instead.

I can probably count on one hand the number of times I felt the need to grab my phone with two hands to use it. The double tap to bring the top down is pretty slick for those rare times I need to reach the top with one hand.

It doesn't automatically flip it when holding it the other way?
It does however iPhoto might not. I've never had the issue.

Not sure what the deal is, I've had an iPhone forever and never had a bug like this. I'm sure it will be corrected soon enough, I could always wipe it clean and reset if it continues.

It's happened to me a couple times. Still s few bugs to figure out apparently.
My wife has had this problem with her 6, can't get the pics flipped. She's also had problems when sending MMS, when she tries to add text after attaching the pic the text gets all screwed up.

I love the phone, hate the OS.

The next update can't come soon enough.

Far too often an app will get stuck in landscape mode and I have to juggle the thing back and forth to get it to orient properly.

Other times the keyboard will not display in the Messages app, I have to close the app and re-open.*

It also somehow seems less responsive and slower than my 5 at times. Just tapping away with no response for a few seconds. This only happens infrequently but it still has happened more than once.

Hard rebooting the phone does nothing to resolve.

*Note, I do have SwiftKey so it might by their fault.

Not sure whether it's the phone or ios8, but it doesn't seem to recognize how I'm holding the phone in order to turn the screen to the correct view. It gets stuck in either view, and I have to rotate the phone back and forth to switch view, whereas my 5 would do it on its own. Anyone else experience this? Minor annoyance.
Fixes bugs that could cause screen rotation to stop working

Working great so far. Upgrade away IMO

:guineapig:

The new on-screen siri 3D avatar is pretty damn sexy lookin too

No go for setting up Apple Pay, for me. Keeps telling me my iTunes password is incorrect, but the same password works fine directly in iTunes or in the app store.

I still don't understand why I'd want to do this.

6+ guys, do you still love it after ~ 1 month? How is it fitting in regular slacks and jeans pockets? One handed use obsolete, just a pain at times, or no problems?

My 6+ arrives mid November, but I saw somebody's 6 last night and now I'm having remorse.

Still love it. One handed use isn't a problem 95% of the time.

ETA: the only thing it doesn't fit into are my running shorts. All other pants and khaki shorts fit fine.

I was the same. Now 2 weeks in with my Plus and I wouldn't consider a 6.

I've officially changed my tune on cases... I was always a naked guy, but the new apple silicone case is really nice. Perfect blend of protection and slimness. Doesn't ruin the feel of the phone for me at all and even gives a bit of grip.

Don't understand why you'd want to set up contactless payments?

Maybe it's not for everyone, but my phone is usually in my hand anyways. Simply holding it out with my thumb on the pad for 1.5 seconds seems like an awfully convenient way to pay for stuff. Not to mention the added security of not having to worry about major security breaches (ie target / home depot / etc) that are happening with increasing frequency.

I also bank with Bank of america, and all their ATM's will be equipped with NFC/Apple Pay, meaning no more entering pins and worrying about security related to that (card/pin scrapers, etc)

 If that's not your thing, that's cool. But I can see it being a pretty nice feature for a lot of folks.

Swaying...I can use my phone in stores? Or only online?

Both, but only in stores that have the system right now.

More than 200,000 payment locations in the U.S. are equipped to accept so-called contactless payments, including Apple Pay. Smaller merchants tend to be among the several millions that don't have the required equipment yet.

Apple said it has worked with several retailers to make sure most of their stores, if not all of them, were ready at Monday's launch: Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Babies R Us, BJ's Wholesale Club, Bloomingdale's, Champs Sports, Chevron and Texaco retail stores including ExtraMile, Disney Store, Duane Reade, Footaction, Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Macy's, McDonald's, Nike, Office Depot, Panera Bread, Petco, RadioShack, RUN by Foot Locker, SIX:02, Sports Authority, Subway, Toys R Us, Unleashed by Petco, Walgreens, Wegmans and Whole Foods Market.

Apple also said that the following merchants plan to add support by the end of the year: Anthropologie, Free People, Sephora, Staples, Urban Outfitters and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

For online payments, Apple said the following merchants have apps ready for Apple Pay: Chairish, Fancy, Groupon, HotelTonight, Houzz, Instacart, Lyft, OpenTable, Panera Bread, Spring, Staples, Target and Uber.

Others expected by year's end include: Airbnb, Disney Store, Eventbrite, JackThreads, Levi's Stadium by VenueNext, Sephora, Starbucks, StubHub, Ticketmaster and Tickets.com

Places ApplePay will work:

• In Store - tens if not hundreds of thousands of retail outlets are in play so far, with many getting on board.

• Many Apps will now utlize Apple Pay in app to streamline payments (simply scan finger on TouchID to pay).

For online payments, Apple said the following merchants have apps ready for Apple Pay: Chairish, Fancy, Groupon, HotelTonight, Houzz, Instacart, Lyft, OpenTable, Panera Bread, Spring, Staples, Target and Uber.

Others expected by year's end include: Airbnb, Disney Store, Eventbrite, JackThreads, Levi's Stadium by VenueNext, Sephora, Starbucks, StubHub, Ticketmaster and Tickets.com.
• ATM's : Bank of America is already on board for streamlined access to ATMs (no more worrying about card/pin scraping, or trying to block the keypad while entering your pin). I'd be amazed if more banks weren't on board soon.

Why is it that Apple always gets embroiled in some controversy or the other, whenever it launches any new product? Take for instance, this brand new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. First it was the 'bendgate' controversy..ok that we could understand, what with the ever-increasing demand for these ultra-slim smartphones and the phone body made of aluminium which is naturally malleable plus the super-skinny jeans all of us insist on wearing, something like this was bound to happen. But then suddenly, 'hairgate' (which, frankly speaking, borders on being plain ridiculous) reared its head. Is Apple plain and simple unlucky, or is it that these controversies surrounding it are genuine?

Who are you?

What is hair gate?

iOS question photo questions:

I just put all my pics of my son in an album on the iPhone. Why are they not in chronological order, when I actually even added them in chronological order? The dates are there, but they are seemingly randomly ordered.

Also, why is it when I plug my phone into the computer, that the iphone albums are not sorted by folder, rather they are in oddly named folders etc.

Plus, everything you cannot move or delete entire iphone album folders, right? You have to go to camera roll and do things individually there? I'm running out of space and just want to transfer entire albums that I do not need on my phone to my pc and delete thrm from my phone in some easy manner.

Been using ApplePay around town and thus far has been quite convenient. Phone can be asleep, whatever. Just place top of phone near pad and place finger on Touch ID. 1 second later, Done. No PIN or anything like that. Pretty slick.

• Subway : 60yo woman of below average intelligence struggled with the concept. First she brought up some QR code that worked with the Subway app. No. Finally just told her I'd pay with CC which activated the card swipe/RFID fob on the counter. Worked great.

• Walgreens: Super simple. Hold phone up and 3-4 lights quickly light up in sequence on top of card reading station, scan finger, done.

• Vending at hospital, hold phone up to card reader while in sleep state, preferred card immediately shows up and asks for a finger scan. Voila. Clicked on bottle of water and done deal.

I'm aware RFID payments have been around for a bit, but very pleased with Apple's implementation using the TouchID pad. I'd be a little wary of keying in a code in sight of others that would turn my phone into an open wallet to anyone who got a hold of it. I also like the Notification of payment and quick access to ALL recent purchases (not just ApplePay) in the passport app.

Not bad.

Agree, I had some concerns but saw a friends 6 and there is no way I'd prefer it to 6+.

I can use it fine one handed. Sometimes I need to do the double tap to bring down the screen but that's 2nd nature now.

Like the phone, the new IOS sucks donkey balls... Loaded with bugs and am not a fan!
I'm not seeing these bugs you speak of...
Phone getting stuck in portrait mode, and I've run into a bunch of issues with watching videos.
The latest update shouldve fixed it, have you updated?
Yup, 8.1 (which sucks balls)... Text messages got stuck today and had to shut off and turn back on.

Strange.. I would restore the phone as I've not heard of anyone else having those issues.

I love 8.1

Question for the techies...

Before I buy a cheap extra charging cord for my car, the knockoffs that eventually tell you "this device is not supported" or whatever, do they have any negative effect on the phone battery itself? Are they ok to use?

Yea that's strange, all the issues with locking in one view and the iMessage problems went away for me.

Is 6+ better in terms of performance? Am I right it has better battery life? (I assume based on the bigger device hence bigger battery, though it does need to power a bigger screen, but at least one review I read said it's impossible to drain in a day with heavy use and even 2 days is feasible).
