I don't know if this is doable, but thought I'd ask.

Is there an app that will let me broadcast whatever's playing on my I Phone 6 through my car stereo? It would have to do it wirelessly (like, tune both the app & my stereo to 88.5 or whatever). And I want to do it playing the SiriusXM app.

I tried searching the App Store, but - as usual - got lost
This might do it for you.http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003PPGOC0/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1438379610&sr=8-3π=AC_SY200_QL40&keywords=bluetooth+for+car&dpPl=1&dpID=41SbBYQpTBL&ref=plSrch
I don't have Blue Tooth compatibility in my vehicle. So, I plug my phone into this, my phone asks me to pick an FM channel, I dial to that station, and the music from my phone plays through my speakers?
I think this is the way it works from reading Amazon I don't have one.

Plug this in - it creates a BT connection your phone can use - this then connects to a FM station on your radio.

Wham bam Duran Duran you are in business.

Never had one with BT, but those I used in the past had a cable to connect to the transmitter. Like this... http://www.amazon.com/IC-F40-Universal-Transmitter-Smartphone-Including/dp/B00NXE4N4Y/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1438390611&sr=8-3&keywords=smart+phone+transmitterOr they connected directly to the device, like this. http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Stereo-Radio-Transmitter-Tablet/dp/B00DEWBM1W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438390378&sr=8-1&keywords=smart+phone+transmitter

Odd question.

I listen to podcasts a lot. If I'm listening, and I get an alert on my phone, the volume on the podcast will lower itself. Well, a lot of the time, it doesn't come back. No matter what I do, it stays low. Then, sometimes a few minutes later, sometimes days, I will get an alert and all of a sudden, the volume will pop back to full volume. Completely random and completely frustrating. Anybody else seen this?

I get this with Facebook. If I kill Facebook app the volume goes back to normal.

So never thought it would happen, but over the weekend I got an iPhone 6. So far, really impressed with it. Everything seems pretty smooth and the battery life is so much better than my 2013 Moto X.

I also made the jump back this weekend, I went from the Note 3 to the 6+. I do miss certain aspects of my android but I have a better comfort level with updates coming to the phone

My 6 got knocked off the sink into the toilet while washing my hands late Saturday night... was only in there a few seconds. Dried it off. No issues yet.

I got the device Wooderson first suggested and it works great. Thanks, guys.

Alright alright

I see alot of guys getting a 6 recently. For those contemplating, hang tight for 3 weeks and pick up the 6S. Alleged: upgraded processor - better performance (speed/battery), force touch, improved touch ID, improved camera, etc.

http://www.macrumors.com/roundup/iphone-6s/
I thought about waiting until the 6s plus comes out, but it was tax free weekend last weekend so I took advantage and purchased the current one. I really can't see a difference in speed from one phone to the next. The only thing that is really different is the megapixels on the camera.

my wife's contract with sprint expires in december. anyone know of a way for her to get out of it when the new phones come out? either re-upping with sprint, or having another carrier buy out the remainder? Or is it wishful thinking?

Does she own the phone or are you on monthly payment installments with Sprint for the handset? If she owns the phone then you should be able to have someone buy out the contact. If she is making monthly payments on the phone I would have her contact Sprint and see if she can upgrade early. If they say no then ask them what the early termination fee is so you can give it to Verizon when you switch to them. They will change their tune fast.

Thx. she owns the phone outright. I haven't seen any advertisements from any companies buying out contracts, other than Sprint. I'll keep looking

Verizon and T-Mobile are both offering it right now.

Sprint just came out with a program that let's you upgrade to the newest iPhone for life now. It's an extra $22/month onto your monthly bill and as soon as a new iPhone is released, you just give back your old one and you get the new one.

Appreciate it, but that's giving away money IMO.

I guess it depends how often you upgrade and/or want a new iPhone. If you're getting a new iPhone every year anyway, you're only paying $264/yr for a $650 phone.

This is a terrible deal... No way you see $250 in depreciation annually on a new iPhone. At that point you're better off buying one every year, alternating between subsidized and full price. Will likely net out an average of $100-200 year in profit after reselling.

No saying it's a great deal, I don't even have Sprint. But I'm sure there will be people switching so they can get the latest and greatest every year.

 definitely didn't mean to sound combative. Sorry about that. Just shocked that people would actually jump on something like that.

Yeah it's one of those deals that sounds great at first, but then when you think about it, it really isn't.

My 6 got knocked off the sink into the toilet while washing my hands late Saturday night... was only in there a few seconds. Dried it off. No issues yet.
UPDATE: This morning the ol' iPhone 6 got stuck in a boot loop, refusing to get behind the apple logo. No doubt related to it's recent amphibious assault attempt.

Apple store squeezed me in on 30 mins notice on a lunch hour rush.... couldn't salvage the phone so they gave me a replacement under factory warranty (31 days remaining). No questions asked or mention of failed water sensors.

For those following along at home... this is my 5th iPhone 6 in 11 months. In case anyone is wondering, after 4 warranty replacements, they have to get manager approval for each additional

Nope... all under standard iPhone 1yr warranty. Apple just stands behind their ####.

Have handset insurance through Verizon ($199 deductible) in the event Apple ever somehow fails me.

I didn't know Apple Care covered stuff like a broken screen without a fee.

That said, Applecare plus covers accidental damage (2x) but it's got a $79 copay.

Apple TV with app store is going to be cool. I'm due for a new iPhone as well so excited to go tot the bigger screen from my 5s just have to figure out how big.

Wife has a 5c, I have an Android. We'll both be getting new phones this fall. The question is, was there enough there to make me spend the extra $100 for a 6s?

Strange that they are discontinuing the iPad Mini 3. There really isn't any difference between the Mini 3 and the Mini 4. Hopefully places will have the 3 on sale since it's being discontinued. Though, the only difference between the 2 and the 4 is that the 2 doesn't have TouchID.

I didn't realize they were releasing new iPads too; thought they were always later?

I'm still on my iPad4, which has become super clunky with iOS8. Really interested in the iPad pro....

The Pro is $799. $99 for the Pencil and $169 for the keyboard. Why not just buy a Macbook Air at that point?

I don't care for either of those accessories and don't want a laptop.

Well yeah, if you don't want the other stuff, then $799 still isn't bad. But a 12" tablet is essentially the same size as a Macbook Air.

At that price point, the stylus:pencil should be included.

For all the "jobs said stylus is a failure" crowd, I agree 100% when talking about UI. This isn't designed for that. The stylus (and to some extent, the iPad Pro itself) is aimed squarely at the creative market to replace products like the Adonit Jot Touch. The pixel precision accuracy of the stylus would be handy as hell for artists/illustrators/designers/architects/etc.

I could see these being huge in the medical field. A buddy who's family owns 3 pediatric clinics was searching for exactly this and WANTED to use iPads last year but they were just too small. They ended up with 13" Lenovo tablet/laptop hybrids for their staff. He commented after the launch that they would likely be moving to these after next upgrade cycle in 2-3 years. I suspect that's going to be somewhat commonplace.

I think this is one case where the "pro" is not just a moniker. I think this is intended to be somewhat of a niche/cache product Primarily designed for the professional market, and is priced accordingly.

My .02

As much as I love the idea of needing an iPad Pro, the reality is that I sold my surface because I didn't use it at all ever like a tablet and i my original iPad hasn't been turned on in months. I travel a ton but can't imagine spending $799 on a movie watching device just because it has better resolution.

You wonder if the 6s is going to cause the price for the 6 and 6 plus to go down a bit.

$100
That is with a 2 year contract, wonder what your monthly payment for the phone will be.

So, you are paying $630. A little savings from before.
