Disappointed with no rear sensors. Everything else was pretty good.
I think they hit a few roadblocks, largely with scalability and cost for OLED screens.
In a normal year, they would've made an iPhone 7s with wireless charging and those camera improvements, lighting, and MAYBE the front facing animoji. That would have been it. But they'd have pushed off OLED I think for another year for scale and cost.
Then next year the iPhone 8 would've had OLED, and all the stuff from the 7s, as well as some rear facing sensors. I think they just felt the pressure to make a big splash this year, but as you can see with a November release date for the iPhone 8 X,...they're not ready for it.
