On Apr, 27 2006 the Audible hit the airwaves, and none of our lives were the same again. I still remember how it started when Bloom and I talked for the 1st time for THREE HOURS. At the end of the conversation I told him, "Can we do that again and record it?" The rest is history. I've only known Bloom for a couple of years, but I already feel like he is family.
I truly appreciate everyone who listens, it means a lot that so many of you follow the show. Last year we released 337 episodes, and this year we're already up to 105 - I want to break 400 this year! At the beginning of the season we were on the front page of Itunes - at the top! - and ranked as high as 29 overall.
It's a blast to go on the road and talk about these prospects that stand out. Whether it's the likes of Jacoby Jones, Jordy Nelson - or guys more like Walter Thomas, these guys always give us something to say!
The annual Beat Writer Tour is just something Bloom and I put together, and it's one of the greatest times of the year because we get to unearth some hearty information - like Mike Reiss from the Boston Globe being the first person ON THE PLANET to say that Wes Welker could lead the Patriots in receptions.
The season is a whirlwind as well. Breaking down the games each week and watching it play out on Sunday is exciting. Talking football with Faletti and Bloom is always a good time.
And once the season ends, we start all over.
Thanks again for always listening, and like I've typed a thousand times before:
enjoy!
