The Audible LIVE! - 4/19/2012 10PM ET (1 Viewer)

Hey guys. With the NFL draft next week lets talk about NEXT year and beyond! Who are some QB prospects coming out in the next few years that could emerge like RGIII and Luck. Are there any possible studs or if we need a QB should we do what we can to get one of the guys this year?

Love the show

Hey Guys,

Pulled up the live draft thread from last year to look at the running commentary and it brings to mind a question that I'm sure many would like you to chime in on.

Now, with full knowledge of how rookies panned out so far and with a year to reflect on.

Run down how you would re-do last year's first round knowing what you know today.

Love the 2 hour extravaganzas . I'd like to hear you fellas talk aboot 2nd year WRs who basically did nothing their rookie year. Looking both for this year & dynasty. Thanks & stay thirsty , my friends.

What are the major things keeping Chris Polk's stock down? He seems to have the entire package...passion, ability, size, durability. What am I missing with this kid?

After Tannehill, who is the next best dynasty prospect regardless of landing spot at QB? It seems to me a battle of David (Russell Wilson) vs. Goliath (Brock Osweiller) - to polar opposites in body type. Or is Weeden the next best dynasty prospect despite his age.

Two hours rock!

Instead of talking about RBs in a vacuum, could you please discuss this years top RBs in context with potential landing spots. Which of these spots will eventually increase or kill their fantasy value?

Rock on, gentlemen! :headbang:

Truly Yours

...I'd add that it would be particularly interesting to hear some unexpected potential landing spots, like when AP went to MIN or Stewart to CAR, situations where the position wasn't a clear need for the drafting team.

Love the show!

I was wondering if you could break down some of the lower tier WRs some with stock on the rise other sliding a bit... Joe Adams, Nick Toon, Jarrius Wright, DeVier Posey, Jeff Fuller, Marquis Maze, Tim Benford, Ryan Broyles... would be nice to hear about baseline expectations for NFL futures and best-case scenario's with NFL player comparisons. Are any of these guys the next 3rd-4th round rookie draft steal like Denarius Moore?

Hello guys I hope all is well. How much does Chris Johnson have left in the tank ? Do you think he will rebound or he is now on the downside of his career ? I have a chance to trade pick 1.05 in this year's rookie draft along with a 2013 1st that should be from 8-12 along with Manningham to land him if I want in a PPR league. Last year at this time this would have been a no brainer but that 1.05 pick looks pretty nice and is tough to give up this year. I am speaking strictly on value here not really for my team needs though I do have Charles and Peterson coming off injury as well.

Thanks and great show!

Loves me some of the show, thanks guys-

hey guys!

If the Rams draft Blackman or Floyd at WR, does Bradford become a guy you could start every week?

and if there is a extra moment....

Is Jordy Nelson going to be overvalued this coming year?

Since Wallace is going to stay put, does Sanders go back to the waiver wire?

Thanks guys!!!

I've been hanging around a year now, and I still don't know exactly where the chat is located. Any help would be appreciated.

Love the show. Hoping you could talk a little about the K.C. RB situation tonight, particularly why people are so high on RB P.Hillis. For me, I dont get it. Denver needed a RB bad and they gave up on Hillis. Is there a team in the NFL more in need of a RB than Cleveland and they just gave up on Hillis too. He runs high, heavy contact...gets injured... last year there were rumors about his commitment to football. What, aside from being reunited with the offensive coordinator from Cleveland has people so high on Hillis? Why are people so high on Hillis? Circumstance and situation alone wont make a player good.

On J.Charles, he had his injury so early in the 2011 season that by the time the 2012 season starts he will have had nearly a full year of rehab/recovery. He's young and had so much speed to begin with that even if he's lost a hair, he will still be a bonafide game breaker. Reports are that his recovery has gone well. Why aren't people talking more about Charles as a sleeper, especially in Dynasty leagues? I hear more spark for Hillis than Charles of late.

Thanks,

King for a Day

Love the show as always.

In a QB-favorable scoring system, I'm sitting pretty but lacking at backup QB. If Rodgers goes down, I'm boned. Other positions, I'm already deep. Given our scoring, you need to draft a QB or massively overpay for him in trade.

I expect Luck and RGIII to go top 3 with Richardson, and Tannehill to go before my 1.09/1.11 picks. I'm going to try moving up for Luck/RGIII, perhaps trading 1.09/1.11 + players or 2013 first. If I can't move up to take Luck/RGIII, I'm considering sitting tight, grabbing value at RB/WR with 1.09 and 1.11, taking a flier on Russell Wilson, maybe picking up Josh Johnson on the cheap.

Two questions. 1) In 2QB leagues or scoring that heavily favors stud QBs, do you think Luck/RGIII are worth 1.09+1.11+2013 first? 2) If that fails, and Luck/RGIII/Tannehill are going in the top 6-7, is this RB/WR class deep enough to trade away your 2013 first to gobble up more falling RB/WR talent in the late first round?

Thanks guys.

Lance Kendrick?????

Please tell me he's still a stud. He tore it up early on and then hit a rough patch. Do you think he'll ever be a super stud TE?

Looking at last year's live thread/chat that was taking place during the draft was illuminating and that is why I asked about how you would change picks from last year knowing what you know today. That live thread/chat is brutal on some of the misses including many who tended to be heavily against Cam Newton going #1 and were higher on Blaine Gabbertt, we know that turned out well for the Panthers and not so well for the Jags.

I didn't expect an entire re-draft but was hoping for any lesson's learned from last year's draft.

You mentioned that teams would probably not be as hot and heavy going after QBs and I agree with that take so to carry forward any lessons learned from last year's draft and apply them to this year's draft I think we can learn not to overvalue QBs based on need.

Teams made mistakes because they were artificially propping up QBs last year. That is one lesson learned.

Oh and I will add that even the experts can be wrong, especially with QB evaluations even if they are in the majority. Just take a look at that live thread from last year and you can see some brutal misses so if anyone has a take that goes against the grain then they should stick to their gut instincts.

Hey Guys,

rebuilding my starting RB position in an IDP Dynasty league, and I have the third pick in the first round.

In your opinion, which is the guy with the best bet for immediate impact during 2012? I'm hoping I'll have my choice of all the top backs at 1.03 so let me know which guy you each think will be "NFL ready" from week one regular season.

Thanks, as always love your shows.

I'd also offer the counter argument, which is not to think you've learned anything substantial after one year of rookie play from a quarterback. Looking at first-year quarterback play and making a judgment is an easy to way to make bad decisions three years from now. Mark Sanchez would be an up and comer, Matt Ryan would be the next Tom Brady, Matt Stafford would be a bust, Josh Freeman would be borderline stud, Drew Brees would be a back up capable of solid but unspectacular play, and Peyton Manning would be an interception machine.

Hey Matt,I'm definitely not calling out anyone because everyone makes mistakes.QBs are difficult to project and one year isn't an entire career so you are right in pointing out that one-year is too early to sum up a young QB's career.I think that many will gnash teeth and curse or whoop and holler in ectasy during the draft yet a year later they might have completely different takes. Also I think that the most immediate past drafts tend to impact current drafts.I like RG III and have always said so but I think his stock subconciously went up due to the success of Cam Newton last year. As much as I love RG III, I don't see him putting up the monster numbers that Cam did in his rookie season. I think his long-term career should be solid but he may not produce right out of the gates the way Newton did.Oh and I still don't like Tannenhill and I'll stick to my guns on that take. Could be wrong but I'll stick to my gut instincts.
