The Audible Roundtable LIVE! - 9/30/10 - 10pm ET (1 Viewer)

What do you see in the Future for Donald Brown? Is he talented enough to take the lead in this RBBC or will we just have to wait till Addai moves on? Also how sold are we that Addai is going to leave and not be resigned?

Is Devin Thomas talented enough to hold on to in Dynasty leagues anymore?

Love the show.

My question runs deep. I went back to back championships a few years back. And in the third year I lost in the Super Bowl to the guy who had MJD. I feel like I've proven everything I needed to in FF since then, and the only thing I have left to do is to win a championship with MJD on my team to nullify the terrible tragedy that befell my three-peat. My question is simple, what is the best trade I can pull off for MJD with my following roster:

Matt Ryan

Calvin Johnson

Wes Welker

Steve Smith

Hakeem Nicks

Lance Moore

Jamaal Charles

Ahmad Bradshaw

Javid Best

Tim Hightower

Jason Snelling

Mike Tolbert

Donald Brown

Zach Miller

His team is comprised of:

Matt Schaub

Chad Ochocinco

Percy Harvin

Mario Manningham

Pierre Garcon

Chris Chambers

Golden Tate

Jonny Knox

MJD

Beanie Wells

Chester Taylor

Fred Jackson

Jason Witten

Hi guys, an avid listener and reader and I love everything you do. I am in several leagues that are 12 team non-ppr standard scoring starting 2 rb's. 2wr's and 1 flex rb or wr. One starter at other positions. Fourteen team total roster. Each week I take a shot at grabbing a running back that may suddenly emerge or become the waiver wire "got to have" player the next week. A kind of preemptive strike. Here is a list of rb's that are available in my various leagues.

Chris Ivory , L. Blount, R. Torain, Jerome Harrison, W. Mcgahee & Bernard Scott. Would you please discuss these players and comment on your preferences for them. Bear in mind I have no starting needs for them this week or next week unless there a rash of injuries in my running back corp. And one last note of thanks and appreciation to Bloom and Waldman for answering email questions that I have sent to you in the past.

Hey guys! Love the show!

With Romo on BYE who do you think is the better play between Chad Henne vs. New England, Bruce Gradkowski vs. Houston and Sam Bradford vs. Seattle?

Hey guys need some help. Pick 3 of these RBs: McFadden, SJax, Foster, McCoy, Forte, Hillis.

Also need 3 of these WRs: Boldin, Calvin, Fitz, Colston, Giants Steve Smtih.

Thanks guys!

Congrats on the success of the show fellas!

With the bye weeks finally here, who would you guys say is this weeks SNEAKY WR play: Darrius Hayward-Bey? Stephen Williams? James Jones? Deon Butler/Deion Branch? Joshua Cribbs?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Guys,

I think Hillis is the real deal. I've got him on all of my teams because I remembered him from his days in Denver. Good power, decent speed, excellent hands. All that said, do you think part of Hillis' success against the Ravens last week was at least partially a function of Wallace's mobility? Perhaps the LBs or DE couldn't crash down on the run instantly out of respect for the backside?

It was impressive to watch Cleveland's OLINE push around Trevor Price and Ray Lewis, but would that have happened with Delhomme under center?

Thanks.

ps- Braylon Edwards vs. BUF or CJ Spiller vs. NYJ in PPR league?

More likely to produce the rest of the season in PPR and non-PPR leagues...Louis Murphy or DHB?

Hey guys, great show. Can we talk about Lesean McCoy. He was ranked preseason to go around the 3rd-4th round. He is currently ranked in the top 250 going forward as RB8. Seems mighty high for a guy who only carriesd the ball 7-16-and 11 times in the 1st 3 games. His only real success was against the Lions so far.Right now it is the Vick show in Philly and it seems Vick is killing any value McCoy might have. The lineup dominator show if I trade away LT and Wells for McCoy I will improve my RBs by 8% and my team by 4%. Please share your thoughts on McCoy and where his place is for this season

Thanks

Talk to us about the emergence of Mark Sanchez and the impact on the WR's and Dustin Keller (elite?)

Santonio Holmes is coming back soon - does he have WR1 upside?

Hey guys, glad it's that time of the week again. We've got a bit of a discussion going on in the Dynasty Superthread, and I was interested in getting some more experienced dynasty guys' takes on the subject. Let's talk about the potential lockout and its impact on dynasty leagues. How likely do you all think a lockout is at this point? Do you think it's something that dynasty leaguers should be keeping in mind when doing player valuations? What sort of impact do you think it might have on existing players in dynasty leagues? What sort of impact do you think it might have on the value of 2011 and 2012 draft picks? What should smart dynasty owners be doing at this point in response to the threat, or is any concern still premature?

Hey Cecil, nobody professed the "love" for Carlson Palmer as you did. I guess you are very disappointed at this moment, but can you give me a clear analysis of what is Carlson's problem, does he need surgery? is CIN thinking about moving on? what is your take?

Great job guys

Great show guys,

I was wondering if you could go over some up and coming Wide Receivers to target in trades.

Also I've got NYG receivers Steve Smith and Hakeem Nicks and I dont want to keep both of them. Which one gets the most fantasy points by the end of the year?

Is Forsett worth trading for given the favorable schedule for the 'Hawks over the next few weeks? What WR out of this group would be fair (R Moss, Nicks, Finley, McCluster, Gaffney, Clayton)? Hurting with my current RB's being Greene, Best, R Bush and Barber (bye). Trying to hold on until LT wears down or Reggie comes back. Points are no yards until bonus at 100 rushing or 50 rec for RB's (100 rec for WR/TE's), double points for out of position TD's, Bonus for TD length.

Hey Guys!

Quick question. There was an article in the pre-season that I thought was great, "Swing for the Fences." Reflecting upon the players mentioned in that article, if you created this list today, who would you include?

Thanks!

-Roland

How do you see the TB backfield developing the rest of this year and into next? Who emerges the starter there and in what role(s)? Blount, Huggins, Caddy, Graham, someone else?

Gentlemen, love the show, look forward to it every week.

Sig, Bloom you guys were pretty big on Navorro Bowman in the preseason as a dynasty stash, now it looks like he's getting the start, is he a smart play this week in Hot-lanta and what are his prospects going forward?

Who's the better play this week, Chad Henne or Kyle Orton? Henne's got a great looking matchup this week, and Orton not so much. But Orton's been much more consistent than Henne has.

Love the show, and thanks!

I'm looking for the dynasty buy lows, and Crabtree keeps popping up. Is his anemic play a result of the 49ers ineptitude, his inexperience, or is he really just the diva people said he was? Is he, in fact, a buy low... and what are some things you might give up given his risk level?

+1 for this question. I would throw in Cribbs as well even though you discussed cribbs on the last 'audible.' Great show guys!

With bye weeks upon us, is it worth taking a shot with Torain this week even with Skeletor (Mike Shenanigan) at the helm? Also with the surprise of the Keiland Williams/Torain situation last Sunday, could this flip-flop again this Sunday?

Great show guys!

:lmao:

Footballguys.com and Audible rookie this year. I may be 1-2 but keeping the faith the Audible gives me the edge to come back and run for the cash! The audible rocks with great advice and the best bumper music in the podworld.

16 team, non-ppr league with 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR Flex, and 1 WR/TE Flex. I have Gore, Best, Mathews, Hillis, Tolbert for RB. Knicks, Knox, TB Williams, Gaffney, Hartline for recievers. Is it wise to move Hillis for a top receiver like Brandon Marshall or should I keep the RB depth given the injuries to Best and Mathews? I could get Anthony Dixon with Marshall to handcuff Gore.

BTW, you should start having the kick Carson Palmer's ### segment every week after showing him the love only to see him play like Ryan Leaf's sister for the first 3 weeks.

Dallas seemed to get a little more commited to the run on Sunday. Coming out of the bye, what are your feeling on the Dallas running backs. Is Marion Barber a good buy low candidate or do you prefer Felix, Choice, or none of the above.

Would you consider a Barber for Ochocinco trade in non-ppr is both would be a flex for the team?

Thanks

Bloom, Lamney, and Waldman sounds like one of the more awesome lawfirms out there eh?

Onto some of the more mercurial questions of RB in terms of buying, selling, or holding at this point in time. Going forward, which of these 2nd Tier RBs are us owners buying, selling, or holding. Pick of the lot includes guys like S.Greene, R.Mendenhall, L.McCoy, A.Bradshaw, and K.Moreno.

How much stock do you put in the trade rumors regarding M. Lynch? Would you consider him a buy low in Dynasty? Also, if you are a believer in the trade rumors, is F. Jackson a must hold at this time or is it safe to drop him?

K. Kolb is getting the boot in a lot of redraft leagues. How short is the leash on Vick? Do you think that Vick, barring injury, will hold onto the starting job or will Kolb get a second chance. Is Kolb worth a stash on your redraft roster?

LB James Anderson is off to a good start this season for Carolina, will it continue?

Thanks!

I see what you did there.

Long time listener first time caller! :banned:

In a 12 team league with a 17 man roster, I ended up with 3 reasonably equal ranked QB's in Matt Ryan, Eli Manning, and Kyle Orton. Given the roster size and bye week needs, I really don't have the luxury to carry all 3 of them. This league does not allow trades. Who do you think is the safest one to drop?

Trade question, if you would.

12 team, 18 man rosters. Start 1/qb/2rb/2wr/1te/1Flex(wr/rb/te)/K/DST. Scoring is standard PPR, 1ppr/0.1pt per yard/6pt TD's. I've been very aggressive early with trades, and team looks like this :

P.Manning/Cassel

ADP/McCoy/Hillis/R.Bush/J.Ringer/T.Gerhart/J.Davis/K.Williams

R.Moss/S.Moss/M.Colston/M.Wallace/Jacoby Jones

Cooley/Keller

Rackers

Philly

The AJ owner is sweating, with the ankle issue, and his RB2 is S. Greene, so he's off to a rough start. I was thinking of offering him:

Colston & Hillis

for

AJ & Greene

I'm looking at it like if AJ misses any time, I have JJones. Once he gets healthy, a WR set of RMoss/AJ/SMoss really sounds appealing. As far as the backs, I believe in Hillis, he seems to produce every chance he gets... but his style does seem like it'll be tough to get through the entire season. I think I'd be fine with Greene just filling the byes and rolling out ADP/McCoy all year. I have ADP handcuffed, and I still have RBush stashed on IR waiting patiently.

Whatcha think?

can we get a long discussion on injuries in general, and how they affect FF. Coauch Potatos's study, what effect turf toe has on a RB, knee injuries. I guess any info u hear about the 'main' injuries, AJ, best, jackson etc.

rock on

I see what you did there.
Hah! That was quick.

In a ppr dynasty format, how do you see the value of Bradshaw & McFadden going forward? Am I in trouble if they are my top 2 RBs or will they keep up this pace? Would you package one with a Hester or a Naanee for a more proven RB?

i was offered Rice & Cassel (throw-in) for J.Charles & B.Jackson

..... i do this deal, right ?? (non-ppr, non-keeper)

(my other RB's: Best, P.Thomas, Jacobs, Torain)

Playing in a PPR/IDP league. I have Crabtree/S.Holmes/Amendola as my options for WR2 to go with Fitz. Are Hernandez and Olsen good enough to allow me to lose D.Clark to a trade bringing me in a better WR2 or will Holmes be fine and Crabtree get back to last years production?? FYI My RBs: MJD, DeWill, R.Bush, Ricky, and a few longshots . QB: Mcnabb, Hass, Gradkowski, Stafford. **Just wondering if I should move Dallas to improve at WR..? Thx!

Really curious about Bloom's ranking of Chris Ivory on the weekly cheat sheet. There are notable undrafted running backs who perform at high level in the NFL, but this kid didn't have success in college either. Disregarding the context of whether he gets the start this week which inevitably comes down to Pierre Thomas's status and comparisons to Betts, what is the upside for Ivory over the next couple of seasons?

We saw Ryan Torain and LaGarrette Blount step up last week. Have they each eclipsed the former waiver wire darlings, Keiland Williams and Kareem Huggins?

Hi GUYS!

Who do you like better this week Aaron Hernandez or Dustin Keller? Love em both - should I flip a coin? :lmao:
