The Cincy-Dayton-Columbus League is underway (1 Viewer)

Looks like we got the meat/buns and some chips. Cack...if you wnat to bring another bag or two of chips and maybe the paper plates/napkins, that would be much appreciated.

Cheese - did you get the final 12 and how many do we have coming to Gusters? Saw that we have the on-line draft.

Also - who is organizing the food/drinks. BYOB is fine and can simplify things. Anyone care much about sides? I'm with the other guys, just tell me what to bring.

Tks for organizing this and thanks to Guster for hosting. Looking forward to it!

Big John not sure if the ABT's or fattie was in reference to the buns, but need clarification if so.

I will be there in person, but will be bailing on poker.

I am bringing two pork butts to the draft...that is probably what the buns were for as I had requested that someone bring a few packages (at least 24). I also requested chips and paper products as well, and I believe that is being taken care of. I do think John will be bringing ABT's as well.

ABT=atomic buffalo turds. Jalapenos, stuffed and wrapped with bacon.

Fattie is a stuffed sausage roll wrapped in bacon.

Neither reqire buns. If you bring 2-3 dozen buns, we should be good.

We have 11, looking for one more.

Anyone actually used the Yahoo live drafting or what were we thinking for actually running the draft?

I do not think everyone will have a computer/laptop for Saturday in order for that to happen. I have used Yahoo the past few years in another league and it works fine. You also have the option of entering the picks manually after the draft is over. Personally, having the draft online with everyone in person defeats the purpose. I think we just had a big board with colored cards to write and post our picks with.

I won't have time to prepare anything Saturday so I'll have to pick something up at the store. Requests welcome.

I think what myself and BigJohn are bringing should be enough, plus someone else is bringing the chips. Oreos sound good!

And I will be unable to stay for poker as much as I love playing, as I need to be at the airport at 11PM.

Ya I wasn't meaning everyone bring a computer. Anyway, I like boards and I know we've done one before in this league. I'll see what I can find but if there is an easy way to get a board someone speak up.

Could you just tape it up?

If we aren't ordering one, I could probably get a $10 board from office depot or something that stands up and just make what we need. They have free lists online we can download to print our own player labels.

Still need a 12th btw. Any fbg that can draft via text or online?

I'm in for poker if we can at least get a cheap tourney off the ground. Anyone bringing chips?

I was thinking we should pick our divisions after the draft to hurt feelings. i.e. picks 10-12 or 3 people who get selected by some other unfair method get to draft the other 3 teams they want to play against.

Who has ideas for draft order? If I don't hear anything we will probably just deal 12 3-card poker hands face up or something.

Wish I could make it, but Sat.'s not an option. Was wide open Friday.

I've used FanDraft software for years. All you need is a laptop, and HDMI cable and a big TV or projector that accepts HDMI.

Good luck.

Thanks. Guster, you cool with hooking up fandraft to a TV?

Wampus--> do you normally pay the returning user price? It looks like $35 or half that to renew.

1. FanDraft Football - 2014 (Update) 1x$15.00 $15.00 to renew. I think it was $25 brand new.

Here's how we handled the draft order setting - get two deck of cards and break the group into two tables of six. Each table plays one hand of 5-card draw. Compare all twelve hands at the end.

There's also an online function that will draw at random and email the results to each member, but you have to have emails for everyone to use it. Forgot what it's called but it's easy to Google.

I'm fine with hooking up to my tv... if fandraft works on a mac, we could even just connect wirelessly through my apple tv to make it easier for you. I'll do my best to make sure that every seat has a view of the tv

Perfect. Let's go with that plan then.

Cool - Cheese ...any emails you still need?

Have this printed out for using Fandraft, particularly the hotkeys. Will save you a lot of aggro. Don't forget to do the setup in advance.

Don't know if it works on Mac or not.

If you use MFL for the league site, FanDraft will interface all the data to it in seconds, as long as you know the league ID.

I have them but still prefer to do it Saturday. Either the cards idea or just get on the random site then and do it on the TV. Tell me if I'm on an island on that though.

I always prefer knowing but completely good waiting.

Any bites on a 12th guy?

Never done an in-person draft before.

Any draft materials I should bring besides..?

  • Rankings of players that I can cross off as they get picked
  • Paper to write down my picks
  • Pens

Nothing. Bring absolutely nothing. We will all share our valuable information with each other to ensure that the teams are absoultely evenly matched.
