My issue with CU has never been whether anyone can make a movie. That's a certain kind of speech that shouldn't be infringed upon. However, the result of that ruling is that politicians have to pander even more to the wealthy in order to get elected (And, by the way, ever since so many people got up in arms about the Citizens United decision, I've never, not ever, heard anyone argue, here or elsewhere, that the decision was wrong because Michael Moore shouldn't have been able to release Fahrenheit 9/11 when he did.
Everyone complains about tangential issues arising from the outcome, but no one ever disagrees with the basic facts of the decision: it's OK for Michael Moore to release a movie before an election, so therefore it's OK for someone else to do it too.

But as MT pointed out in the CU thread there isn't an easy fix to it constitutionally.
