I have Halladay Sunday at Marlins and Estrada Sunday at St Louis. Sit both, one, neither?

I'd start'em both. I'd prefer Halladay on the bench until he gets right, but if I've got a pitcher I won't throw out there against MIA, I'd have to cut them. I'm starting Estrada with my eyes closed. For my crap staff, Estrada's not a streamer though. He's been solid so far, but STL hits him pretty good. Not a complete trainwreck though (4.66 ERA, 19 IP, 13K, 4BB, 3 HR). Maybe he gets lit up, but a decent chance to out and toss 6 with a HR and 2-3 runs.Go. I have Halladay Sunday at Marlins and Estrada Sunday at St Louis. Sit both, one, neither?

Agreed on all. Thanks.Lohse and Estrada, no
Doc, yes. If you're not starting him @MIA then he shouldn't be on your team.
Cubs radio guys said that was an out without the wind FWIW.DeJesus has hit Cain well before, should have trusted the numbers.
No doubt about that. It would have been an easy fly ball without the wind. Still, a 2-0 in the 8th with the wind.Cubs radio guys said that was an out without the wind FWIW.DeJesus has hit Cain well before, should have trusted the numbers.

Rotoinfo usually has the lineups as quick as anyoneAnyone have a good twitter handle for the Cardinals daily lineup? Need to get Adams in there when he's playing. TIA.
Yeah I'm giving this one a whirl today.Chacin still < 50% owned despite dealing and has a Petco appearance today? Yes, please.

In the minors he hit lefties pretty well so at some point I think he'll at least hit for decent average against him in the majors. I have mostly left him in against lefties but today seems like a day to sit him. Two guys I DO NOT play against lefties are Alonso and Alvarez.Anybody else sitting Rizzo vs. Lefties?
I think it'll be awhile before I play against them, and it certainly won't be today (Bumgarner).
I just traded him away, but I would've kept him otherwise. If it's a redraft league, I don't see much wrong with cutting him loose though if you need the space.Adam Eaton worth holding onto? With Greinke going on the DL im now jammed up at my one DL spot.
oof. First Lohse gets bumped off of his vs Cubs start, now Gee here. That NYM-MIN PPD really stinks for Gee owners/streamers. He gets to go to COL instead.
Now, let's hope they get him the hell out of there with his 7 Ks and a QS intact.I'd start'em both. Not sure what to think about this one. CHW are usually awful against LHPs they've never faced before, but that's usually young arms that they don't really have a book on yet.Anyone rolling with Buehrle against the Chi Sox?
I wouldn't bother. He got lit up in both of his starts (though there's no shame in getting toasted by DET) and offers no K upside. As you allude, some of the CWS bats are quite familiar with his stuff. Not sure what to think about this one. James McDonald v STL today?
Normally wouldn't throw a mediocre arm against STL, but he's got great numbers against them (4-1 sub 3.00 ERA) and has been a much better pitcher at home

Must bench, has Colorado Sunday too. I actually dropped him in one league, figure if anyone dares to pick him up and use him this week he'll be available once he gets favorable matchups again.shuke said:Brandon McCarthy hasn't looked so hot. Sit him against the Yanks tomorrow?
Serious question: Do you make line-up decisions based on this stuff every day? Sample sizes are very small. I get the "he hits this guy well, I'll start him" idea to a daily league, but would your opinion of Peralta if he was hitting .260 against Harang instead of .304? Because that's what one less hit does to that sample size.Cheers to you if you have the stones to start him given his start to the season, but Pedro Alvarez has a .579/.600/1.000 line with 2 HR's in 19 AB's vs. Westbrook.
Peralta has some balmy numbers vs. Harang too - .304/.333/.652 in 23 AB's.
I don't own either player, but if someone is staring at a Peralta or Bonifcaio, or Alvarez or Chris Johnson type of decision this information can be key in breaking a tie. I never use this type of info when it comes to my every day guys but I use righty/lefty, home/away, hot streaks, and batter vs. pitcher data in deciding what to do in my daily leagues with the end of my starting lineup. Righty/lefty is the most important, but the other data can help too.Serious question: Do you make line-up decisions based on this stuff every day? Sample sizes are very small. I am starting EY because of the Fowler injury. Definitely will start one, bet he starts two, and worst case is available for late inning PH/SB opportunities. How's the weather shaping up for some Mets/Rockies streamers today?Looks like Fowler is out game 1 with a sore foot..doubt he plays game 2.Some names I'm looking atuda, but I think he sits game 2 vs leftyNelson/Herrera, but Pacheco/Rutledge could be locks for game 2Young, could see both with Fowler out
Road game and Oakland has been scorching to open the year, I wouldn't deploy Norris. Likelihood of a win, low, banking solely on K's and hoping it's anot a BB night from him.sporthenry said:Looking at tomorrow, Colon and Norris seem like solid starts against each other. Anyone leaning one way or the other, or staying away. Houston is worse but Norris seems like more upside with K's.
Absolutely Detwiler, doing well against good teams let alone bad ones.Ross Detwiller at MIA tonight?
Not sure why Norris is a good play. OAK has the best offense in the league at this point
If this is Mike Fiers, it's more likely he'll be in AAA than starting any time soon.Villanueva (TEX), Colon (HOU), or Fiers (SF) for today?
I guess Colon is the clear, relatively safe choice, right?
I'm a little intrigued about Villanueva though. He's pitching well, and TEX hasn't really been lighting up the scoreboard just yet. Kinsler and Andrus don't hit him very well. If Beltre doesn't destroy him, he could have a solid day.
Haven't watched Fiers, but reading those that have he is totally lost. Don't see the upside in either him or Villanueva, relative to Colon at home to the Lastros anyway. Using him today then dropping for Arroyo who is pitching well and gets the hapless Fish at home this weekend. Assuming his bullpen goes well Kazmir is slated to return in front of his family and friends in Houston this weekend too.If this is Mike Fiers, it's more likely he'll be in AAA than starting any time soon.Villanueva (TEX), Colon (HOU), or Fiers (SF) for today?

Yeah, I guess I just got a little gun-shy after my 3rd roll of the HOU daily lotto backfired in a big way (Maurer).Haven't watched Fiers, but reading those that have he is totally lost. I don't have the nuggets to start Villanueva against Texas tonight but think he's going to do well.Villanueva (TEX), Colon (HOU), or Fiers (SF) for today?
