The last place team in the AFC East this year will be .... (1 Viewer)

I'm obviously a little biased on this subject, but as a Pats fan, I am thoroughly enjoying the debacle that is the Jets this year. They have a very good chance at getting the first pick in next years draft, so the bright side for them is they get Matt Barkley. It's no coincidence that the Jets are the only team to not score a TD after two preseason games, and that their offence could only muster 9 total points. Sanchez knows what's going to happen if he screws up, and that's only going to make him screw up even more, and Tebow will fair no better WHEN he becomes the starter.I don't care how good their defense is. They will get tired of the three and outs their Offense keeps giving them, and when they are down a couple TD's, they will know the offense can't possibly put get them back in the game, so they won't bother playing so hard as the game goes on.I can't believe as a Pats fan I can feel sorry for a Jets player, but Sanchez really has my sympathy.
Didn't realize the 2012 Jets season had been a debacle already. You should be sure to throw a ton of money down on the Jets under 8.5 wins, the line Vegas is currently offering.
Easy money. I think I will.

Even though he won't come back here, he is pretty active with the PMs to me.

Most of it is hard to decipher. It's like he typed it in crayon. But I did get this gem:

Nice job on knowing that the Jets 2 best offensive players and the NFL's best defensive player would all get hurt
So.... if I had started a thread saying the Jets would win 12 games, I could use the injuries to Revis and Holmes as an excuse?Good to know.

I'm right here buddy...if you can't figure out the impact of injuries to the Jets 2 best offensive players (Holmes, Keller) and best defensive player (Revis), then I'm not sure what to tell you. And BTW, I've only been active through PM because you decided to be immature and PM me with some nonsense crowing about being right...yet ignoring that you couldn't possibly predict these injuries.

Wait for it ....

J-E-T-S ... JETS JETS JETS!
This team has nothing. Unless you like an aging defense and a pile of slop on offense.
An uninformed thread criticizing the Jets by RaiderNation? I'm shocked...
Think I should wait for an apology from this guy?
I already acknowledged through your PMs that you were right this season...although the injuries had a lot to do with it. I'll apologize after you acknowledge that in 2009 and 2010, you were consistently wrong about the Jets. I guess 1 out of 3 years isn't bad for you.

I'm right here buddy...if you can't figure out the impact of injuries to the Jets 2 best offensive players (Holmes, Keller)
If Holmes and Keller are your best two offensive players, you've got problems. Holmes has a total of one 1000-yard receiving season in 7 seasons, and it wasn't with the Jets; he hasn't hit 800 yards with the Jets in three years. Keller in four years prior to 2012 had finished as the #9 TE twice, his best finishes.

Are they technically in last place? Not sure if they own the tiebreaker over the Bills, we should get that cleared up before determining whether or not they're actually the worst team in the NFL.

 I was wondering the same thing, actually.Same record.Same division record.Jets have a worse conference record (4-8) compared to 5-7 for the Bills.Jets have a worse point-differential than Buffalo.I'm declaring VICTORY here! :banned:

Late in the summer I put money on this with a Jet fan and am waiting to see final results. NFL iphone app has jets in last place of the AFC east but the NFL website has buff in last place. 3rd tie breaker for division record is common opponent win percentage.. This is from the NFL websiteTO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISIONIf, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined. Two Clubs1.Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).2.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.3.Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.4.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.5.Strength of victory.6.Strength of schedule.7.Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.8.Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.9.Best net points in common games.10.Best net points in all games.11.Best net touchdowns in all games.12.Coin toss

LOL :excited: no, seriously... think about this. Holmes and Keller are your offensive 'threats'. Oof...Me thinks the only tape staff watch when playing the Jets, is asian porn.

Which would you rather watch?

Bills took last place in the division despite the win in week 17. Still was a good call.
:sadbanana: Did you figure out how they arrived at that, exactly?
No.I just took the Bills reporters word for it I guess.

EDIT: They were tied H2H and in division record. 3rd tiebreaker was record in common games.

Jets went 4-3 vs this group: SF, HOU, IND, SEA, STL, ARI, JAX

Bills went 2-5 vs the same teams. Only beat ARI and JAX.

How is that an issue? If you pick right, why does it matter why he was right? If a team can't overcome the loss of offensive juggernauts like that then it's certainly a good pick for worst team. How many of Sanchez's 257 turnovers this year are because Revis is hurt?

Seems dubious to me. Do I owe rufan an apology now?

The better news is that the Bills have a weaker SOS so it looks like they'll have the 8th pick in the draft while the Jets get the 9th pick. I would have hated to see the Jets get any additional rewards for tanking the last few games while the Bills and Dolphins were at least trying to win games.

So, the Jets are the only team in the league with injuries? What do you think the odds of that are?
