Does church attendance really indicate whether someone is liberal or conservative? I know plenty of pretty religious liberals, and even more conservatives who have no religion at all.

I was going to ask this too. WTF? Oh, because liberals are all atheists and conservatives are all bible-thumpers?

This is what baffles me about political parties. Why does someone's view on abortion need to line up with their tax policies? What do your thoughts on gun control have to do with climate change? Why does religion even come up in regards to party politics? Most of this country has been brainwashed to think that they need to pick a team. Makes zero sense.

Ask the sheep who follow everything along party lines. I've long ago given up holding my breath for a political-and-social stance that falls anywhere near mine.

One of the impressive things about our political parties is how well they've managed to divide and conquer people and force them into ideologies that make no rational sense. Democrats, party of individual freedom - unless you want to own guns! Republicans, caring religious folks, but damn poor people will never get a dime of my money!
