What I plan to do is take the top 60 from each of us, and #1 from each list gets 60 points down to 1 point for #60. Then I will rank based on total points. Not sure what the guys did in the other thread.

More people = more work. Just looking at the lists, there should be plenty left for someone to do another 100 after this one.

I'm working on my list tonight. I will then compile the three lists and start probably this weekend. I usually only post at night, so thinking 10 per night to allow a day of conversation. I'd like to actually see some conversation, not just "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU RANKED ___________ OVER _________"

But this is how we do debate in 'Murica i've been told. ;) Oh, and plenty of complaining about movies that you haven't even seen - that's another high quality debate tactic.
 
Seriously, though - looking forward to this one. I'm hoping for a few gems that I haven't seen at all or in a long time to add to my ever-growing queue of movies. That will give me time to knock out a couple of 80s' movies I wrote down from the first one.

Instead of doing that last night I had a "crappy Spielberg" double feature of Jurassic Park 2 and Ready Player One.

Yeah I don’t know the the final list when KP and I did it so the unveiling was a surprise to me as well. I personally like that.

Remember, each of us have about 30 that weren't revealed. It's possible one of us had it. It's also possible we whiffed on something or we think it's trash too. :lol:

My biggest fear with this is that I left out movies I love but just didn’t remember it when making my list.

Yeah I am sure I left something off, also I got thrown off by some stuff already being mentioned in the original thread so I didn’t have it on my list (police academy, short circuit)

I think I know what movie this is and I figured it would be on both of yours so it would make the overall. If it's only on yours, it's probably the candidate for the biggest snub on our list. For me, it's in my top 100 or even top 80, but you only asked for top 60.

It was scored like golf. If had a movie 81 and KP had it 40, it was scored at 121. Any movie that didn’t make one our lists, received 101 as a penalty. So if my number 20 movie wasn’t on his list, it ended up at 121 as well. Then it was just ranked from lowest points to highest to find the top 101.

So that’s how a movie one person had really high and the other didn’t rank could end up sliding where as a movie we both had in the middle could shoot up the rankings.

Hey, just because I wanted to unwind from a crap day with some subpar Spielberg doesn't mean that I was high while doing it. Ok, you are right- but that doesn’t mean that was the only reason I picked that combo. :lol:
