G- Evans(23), Nesbit(29), Holland(26)

C- Faine(25)

QB- Brees(27)

RB- Deuce(27), Bush(21)

FB- Karney(25)

WR- Colston(23), Henderson(24)

They're #7 in total offense and will only get better. Load up on Saints now while they are available for a reasonable price. Four rookies contributed today, and all 5 OLine positions have different starters this season. Next year this will be the best offense in the NFL.

Fixed. But yeah Brees is sick.

Hey billyjoe... are you Hobert or Tolliver? I think both were Saints at the same time at one point.

oh that was Bobby :bag:
LOL. Wear that bag with shame Bri.I remember Bobby Hebert well. As a 49er fan, we loved calling him Heeeee-bert instead of Ay-bear. His Saints were a tough team to beat most of those years. The "Cajun Cannon" also was the winning QB and MVP in the 1st ever USFL championship game in 1983, when the Michigan Panthers beat the Philadelphia Stars before he made it to the Saints. In 1985 he was with the Oakland Invaders and they went to the championship game. I was a big fan of theirs (I live sort of near Oakland), but when he became a Saint I was duty-bound to despise him along with all other Saints players.

As a Saints fan, it's great to see a thread like this. But really, fantasy producers in the Big Easy is nothing new. Brooks (thank God he's gone) was a fantasy starter for several years, Horn has been great, Deuce and Ricky had their moments, and the DEs have been players in IDP leagues.

Nice to see the Falcs and Bears go down.. maybe the Aints have a shot at a bye?

Beyond his enormous impact from a non-fantasy standpoint, with Colston and Bush to throw to for years to come, Brees is looking better and better for keeper/dynasty purposes.

A shot at a bye? How long have you been a Saints fan? Hopefully long enough to know that you can't get too excited by a 6-2 start, given their history.I'll admit that something really feels "different" about this team, but until I see it in the postseason, I'll have to temper my enthusiasm.

That year with the Panthers was great! He was also throwing to Anthony Carter, which didn't hurt. That was a fun season....Saw a few of their games at the Silverdome that year....too bad I don't have my Panthers jersey anymore :(

Saints have a chance to do something about getting a bye ... they play at the 6-2 Giants on Christmas Eve.However ... something about the Bears doesn't smell right. They could tumble down to the Saints/Giants level in a heartbeat.

I'm sorry, was mentioning a shot at a bye too enthusiastic? Please. Yes, I've been a fan long enough to not get excited. I remember '93.

Yeah, but the kiss of death in 1993 was when Inside the NFL's Chris Collinsworth picked the then-5-0 Saints to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. As long as Chris keeps a lid on it ... the Saints will be fine.

What are people thinking about whether they keep Deuce around next year? What they have seems to be working great, and you'd think they'd keep him but you never know?

I think they keep him one more year. He's scheduled to make 3.6 million in 2007 which is reasonable. Bush still hasn't proven his ability to carry the load and move the chains. 2008 is up in the air with a scheduled salary of 4.6 million IMO.

I think the only problem with the saints right now from a fantasy perspective is that they have so many people they involve in the game that you don't know who is going to be the go-to guy from week-to-week. You know you are always going to have Brees, but one week it's Bush, then Deuce, and then all of a sudden Karney...or for WRs with Colston, Copper, Henderson, and Horn.

It's not like the classic Colts from previous years with Manning, Edge, Harrison, and Wayne.

next year actually has a lot of questionmarks. Dont forget that ten million bonus going to brees. How are they going to be able to afford deuce, bush, & brees, especially if Colston deservedly gets a raise? As a Saints fan i hate to say it, but they might have to trade/cut Horn if they dont work some redskins-like salary cap magic.

Doesn't the cap grow by about 10 million next year?
