The North Face (1 Viewer)

Patagonia is in the same boat where a fleece is like $150, but I love there stuff... So comfortable, keeps you warm, and very well made.
Patagonia makes great stuff and they don't put massive logos on their products so you don't look like a giant dbag wearing their gear

I'd rather be seen in a Triple Fat Goose before I wore north face. Every ham & egger around here wears north face
The old school TFG I have is pretty ugly... but it's definitely warm.

I have a TNF ski shell I picked up on clearance several years ago. I think I paid $80. It's held up really well and, when combined with some nice Patagonia Capilene base layers, has kept me warm and dry in an array of snowboarding/hiking/camping excursions. Could I have gotten by with a $50 shell instead? Probably. Will the cheaper shell hold up as long, or be backed by the same "no questions asked" customer service if it ever fails? Probably not.

Love my Patagonia Houdini lightweight shell as well. Packs down super light/small and has held up surprisingly well to a good bit of abuse. Getting last year's model on clearance offered a nice discount as well. Same motivation (quality, service) behind this purchase.

Why does everyone keep calling a jacket a ####### shell? Because it sounds fancy?

Also not sure I buy the slim fit jacket posted above.

if you are patient, you never have to pay full price on Marmot, Patagonia, or even Arc'Teryx.. they are all very nice, warm, and well made

Every girl that I have ever met wearing NF is a stuck up #####.
True. But they are also usually skinny and attractive.
Hey! My wife wears NF stuff! Wait, actually that's pretty accurate. Carry on.
I'll take some pics in a pm.Also, it is The North Face, so please use the proper abbreviation (TNF) in the future.
Good jackets for those who go to The Ohio State (TOS).
