The Oakland RB Situation for Week 6 (1 Viewer)

I know there have been threads about Jordan, Fargas and Rhodes, but what happens in week 6?

Rhodes has had the preseason and two weeks to prepare and get ready to play for week 6. Sounds like Jordan won't be ready (please add updates if available) and Fargas had that big week in week 4, but Raiders homers seem pretty down on him as a back that can repeat anything near that performance.

Assuming Jordan can't go, does Fargas get a shot based on week 4? Does Rhodes step in and take over?

While the KC D has improved, it is still giving up a healthy 125 yards and a 4.2 YPC per game. If either Fargas or Rhodes get the non-RBBC call, one should be a pretty good play in deeper leagues especially. KC's inability to put up offensive scores may well mean a more conservative ground attack running based offensive game plan by Kiffin.

Which one is the play this week? Fargas or Rhodes? Right now, I'm guessing Fargas, but I think I smell something nearer to a 50-50 split. Thoughts? Guesses?

\\hate to break the news but Raiders are playing the chargers. But if i'd pick one for the match up, i'd go rhodes. Its kinda of a big risk though cuz he hasnt played since preseason. If you have another option go with it.

Oakland's @ San Diego in week 6Id

Oakland plays SD this week. KC is week 7.
:goodposting:  Well, that does change things up a bit! Geeze, where is that bag on head smiley?SD run D is definitely better than KC, at 3.9 and less than 100 YPG. Still, I think the Raiders starting RB could do well, if Kiffin doesn't go RBBC, but I suspect that is what will happen.

It really depends on Jordan's health. SD or KC it really doesn't matter. If Jordan is healthy he should be the man. It's working (why fix it) and what chances has Rhodes had with the first team? Jordan is tearing it up and i think if he's ready to go, the splits would between rhodes and fargas. Fargas=odd man out. Rhodes can catch but so can jordan and he has more power. Jordan is powerful like Costanza! Rhodes does drugs like Kramer.

if you have better options, you probably want to avoid the raiders rb situation completely this week. the tough opposing defense, in addition to uncertainty about playing time is sure to ruin your good sunday. i say give them a week to sort it out. jordan hasn't practiced this week yet, and rhodes has been practicing with the team, so if jordan is out (somewhat likely), then i would think the raiders go with rhodes to see what they have. no doubt rhodes has to develop game legs, so i'm sure for this week, we'll see a good bit of fargas also. all in all a recipe for heartburn.

Chargers are talented but not dominating by any means. Raiders oline have a good challenge ahead of them. Rhodes and Fargas will total 110 yards no TDs. I don't have a split.

Not so sure I would avoid this. Culpepper opens up a lot for the running game. His ability to pass and run changes the way D's set up agaisnt them. If Rhodes is the starter he makes a great flex play.. Not sure he is worth the risk as a bye wek fill in for your #2 though..
