The Official Kicker (K) Thread (2 Viewers)

Koo DNP today due to some back ailment. Might have to pivot back to Riley.

Paterson has four games without a FGA

pretty sure you have better options

(he also can’t hit anything over 47, baffles me he is widely held)

Gonna stick with McManus - chose him over Gay & Grupe

Colts K is fine, but Saints K has only 1 FG 3 straight games

I wanted to dump him this week to be honest and had Koo starting.

Santos, Hopkins, Joseph ,and McLaughlin are the waiver choices. I'll pick one up tmr morning.

Joseph has 2 or more FGs in 6 of his last 7

After bad kicker luck (Fairbairn), I’ve dropped Koo for Gay. Screw it, both seem to have similar numbers and situations and easy schedules ROS and in the playoffs; give me the uninjured one.

Anyone out there still sticking with Hopkins? Moody and Gay are out there and worry if Hopkins will be slowed down with Watson out.
Be advised, I have picked up Hopkins so he will now be cursed.

No kicker I've started this season has scored more than 8 points.

I know most are probably over Mr. Moody by now but I'm not. He still has a big leg and plays on a solid but unspectacular team. After a rough 2 game stretch he's been back to perfect the last 3.

He was dropped in my main league because of that. Not sure they'll move the ball much.

That's what I'm worried about.

Thanks, for the advisement. As a result, I've dropped Hopkins and picked up Moody.

Debating Prater, Bass, and Gay.

Leaning Prater at home. Big leg. Could be a sneaky high scoring game. No weather issues.

Think #2 would be Gay. Indoors. Been more than solid. Another sneaky high scorer.

Bass probably last. PHI just drains the clock and that's probably a game where coaches think they need TDs vs. FGs and go for it on 4th down.

First time for everything. I bid 1 dollar of my 100 and got Butker. Feels dirty. I dont care. I have to put zero thought into this position for rest of season. Thats worth my dollar.

Gay, Prater, Bass

I just added Gay for Week 16 and 17 indoors. Indi is decent enough to move the ball and get FG attempts

Why Gay over Prater? Feel like they are in similar situations.

Not a Murray believer but he has played well the last couple weeks he has been back. Have seen a couple "rankings" this week and they are usually next to each other one way or the other. It is a coin flip/preference decision.

What is the deal with Grupe? I was considering picking him up but I see the Saints are trying out kickers. I don't see any injury news so they must just not be happy with him. He made 5 out of 6 FGs last weekend with one over 50 yards so on the outside looking in seemed pretty safe.

He is dealing with a groin injury per r/Saints.

Also cost them two Ws this year so even though he was 5/6 and has good range, apparently he’s on shaky ground.

ETA - haven’t found a report to confirm that, caveat emptor.

Thanks for the fantastic feedback. Much appreciated. I will look elsewhere.

Been streaming kickers all year and I finally had one blow up in my face.

Matt Prater.

AZ offense tanks. He hits a 50+ FG only to see a penalty called and then the half ends then misses a 50 + yarder.

Am I the only one who whenever he gets to see his kicker actually kick live on the redzone he misses?

have McManus but Gay boomeranged back onto my roster. I think between the two I've added them to my roster five times. Probably all of them in November lol..

According to our transactions log, my K adds by month
  • September - 2
  • October - 2
  • November - 5 (same two kickers)

Hoping to grab C. Dicker (LAC).

LAC travelling east. Could see them sluggish enough against a decent D where they stall often and have several possessions since the NE offense is so terrible. Weather looks fine.

I like Matt Gay:
  • 13. at TEN (9th most FFA to Ks)
  • 14. at CIN (5th)
  • 15. PIT (18th)
  • 16. at ATL (4th)
  • 17. LV (13th)
8/10 on 50+ this year. Does have the possibility of bad weather in Cincy next week but 3 straight in domes during the playoffs.
Have Tucker, but someone dropped Gay. I picked him up as well only because week 16 and 17 in a dome. I have a first round bye locked up so trying to look ahead.

:bowtie:
Started him in 3 10-teamers where I have been streaming all year - may look to hold for the rest of the year.
I should say...started him thanks to your post

On a serious cold streak with kickers. You'd think I'd just get blind lucky one of these weeks.

Grabbed Y. Koo on the wire. At home in the dome. Favorites. He can kick 50+.

Also see Grupe, but that guy misses kicks left and right (literally).
