The Official Staff/Messageboard Survivor Thread (1 Viewer)

:wall: Can I repick my team?  This is AWFUL.  Whats worse, Ricky was my favorite NFL'er and I was just sure Boston was going to make me look smart by being a top-10 WR this year.I'm just sick, friggin sick.  On the bright side, I can now use my 7th round redraft pick on Rod Smith and not feel guilty about passing on Boston.F'ing Dolphins...COlin
I've been ordered to come here and laugh at your team instead of mine.Maybe I should go bump the 1% chance of winning comment someone made.
I think you're trying to be funny, but I don't get it. My team/strategy were open to discussion before. Now, we won't get to see it play out as my two big "value" picks are done for the year. Not my fault.COlin
Your team was done before your "two big value picks" went down. :rotflmao:
Are you still liking your Charlie Garner pick in the 3rd? COlin

Another one bites the dust.

Another one bites the dust.

Another one's gone,

And another one's gone.

Another one bites the dust!

This time it's bye bye CBuck.

Unfortunates among the top 100 players we drafted on 5-22:

1.09 Williams Mia - Dowling/Staff (retired)

2.12 Shipp Ari - Shick/Staff (out most if not all of the year)

4.10 Boldin Ari - Wood/Staff (out 4-8 games)

7.07 McCardell TB - Stuart/Staff (still unsigned)

8.01 Carter Dal - Hammond/MsgBoard (given the heave-ho)

8.04 Boston Mia - Dowling/Staff (out most if not all of the year)

8.10 Buckhalter Phi - Wood/Staff (out for the year)

9.01 Warner NYG - Shick/Staff (backup after 1-3 weeks)

Anyone seeing a trend here? Let's see... If we take the top hundred and divide by two, we have the top 50 players drafted by Staff. If 7 of 50 are knocked out, that's 14%, leaving Staff at only 86% speed for all or part of the first 8 weeks. I sure hope their picks from 101+ can cover that.

David, you may want to re-run your simulation before the season begins.

HAHA OUCH! :toilet:

Shick's team is really hurting now at RB2 for the first few weeks. Could be tough to overcome unless LT really starts fast. He does have a soft early schedule.

More causalties.20.08 PK Morten Andersen KC/5 - DODDS16.02 RB Mike Anderson Den/10 - CLAYTONIt's almost eerie how the STAFF can ID talent destined for injuries or getting cut.

opps...forgot another one...12.12 144 WR47 Johnnie Morton KC/5 - David Shick and another...15.07 RB Chris Perry Cin/5 - Stuart

This goes out to Couch Potato...Do you agree with me now that Carter was a wasted pick?FYI...Carter went undrafted in the East Bay Funk Invitational.
Could be, Grasshopper. Could be...But I'm still holding out hope he'll be picked up by the Colts and will beat out Peyton Manning for the starting job by the end of the season.Well, maybe not.
Let's go Quincy!(I'll hire Jeff Gillooly to smack Pennington's knee with a pipe).

If you had just shown some restraint, with the QB squeeze in play, the STAFF could have been 12 for 12 in drafting the dirty dozen instead of collecting :11: of 12.

So true. You know, when I look back on that draft my biggest error was not taking Garcia after Brady. I almost did, but went with Peerless Price. I expected a WR run, saw a QB run continue instead. With the QB run continuing, I could have still landed a pretty good WR2 with that next pick.Garcia/WR would have looked a lot better than Price/cokeaddict.C 'est la vie.

I actually suggested before the draft that the message board team avoid Elling and Anderson because of the risks that both would not play this year - Elling because he sucked, and Anderson because of his age. I also suggested avoiding Nedney, because of the ACL. So it turns out it wasn't that the staff was ID'ing bad kickers, but that the message board team put more preparation into that aspect of the draft.

19.11 227 WR71 Kevin Dyson SD/10 Clayton Gray When I hear Dyson got cut, I said to myself I wonder which staff member drafted him? That makes a dozen missing players for the staff.

Dodds has Smith. I hope the staff didn't draft any other panthers. This is going to be a runaway for the messageboard.

My Simulation for Survivor I has been run.League 1 SimulationI have also run the numbers for league 2 and am formatting them now. They should be posted in a few hours here.
