silver and black, i feel your pain man. tough choices as i have deuce, julius, k.jones, and dunn.i trust deuce for nothing. think i'm starting the jones' and hope for the best.
Interesting take. I have :McAllisterJ. JonesPortisWestbrook Have to start two.I think Portis is an easy start against SF, but I've thought that before. I honestly think the other three are a complete tossup.McAllister-I think the best of the three, but NO is such a mess, I have no faith. at TB could be tough.Jones-he has still only played a few games. And it's possible Philly runs up a big early lead, limiting Jones.Westbrook- how much will he play? will he get the TD's? Best matchup.Right now I'm leaning towards Portis and Jones. Jones because I think he has the best chance of actually being a part of the O for the entire game, blowout or not. I can see NO getting blown out early and Brooks/Horn scoring big late. I can see Westbrook sitting the entire second half if Philly has nothing to play for. Here's who I have to choose from this week.McAlisterEdgeJulius JonesKevin JonesWestbrookI am starting Edge with confidence. The cream always rises to the top and I think he will have a very good day, despite Baltimore's very solid defense.I am very much undecided about who to play at #2. Westbrook is my last choice because he has been losing carries, especially inside the 20 to Levens. Plus, I think Parcells is gonna brow beat the defense over last week's performance so I think they come out to play this week.I like Kev Jones against the vikes, but if Minn jumps out to an early lead, it could spell trouble.Gotta love J Jones, even though the Philly defense is solid. He will get the carries and if he can just brake a few big runs, he can have a very nice day.As for Deuce, I hate him. He has killed me this year. I won't start him, which all but guarantees a 150+ 3 td day!
what happened to Urlacher?I think Tomlinson will have a monster game against the Brownies. I am not so thrilled to play Julius this week, as I think the Eagles D will dominate the Cowboys....also, I wouldn't be optomistic to play Dunn against the Panthers...the Panther D is much improved over the past several weeks.DD vs. Chicago without Urlacher should be good for 120 total plus a touch.
The Vikings would have trouble stopping Moller High, so I don't think we will have to worry about Detroit playing catch up and abandoning the run, especially at home.He should be fine if they get off quick agaist Minny, If not Mooch will abanden the run to play catch-up.Nobody likes young KJ this week? Too much playing from behind?
torn hammywhat happened to Urlacher?DD vs. Chicago without Urlacher should be good for 120 total plus a touch.
Is that official? Last I have seen was this from the blogger:Urlacher to Have MRI on HamstringCan you tell...my opponent has DD this weekend.torn hammywhat happened to Urlacher?DD vs. Chicago without Urlacher should be good for 120 total plus a touch.
Are you the only owner in your league? That's a pretty nice roster.Well nobody here has helped me at allI have A greenj lewisj jonesK jonesMcGaheeI will start 3 or maybe 4 depending on what I do with the flex postion. T holt, C johnson and R moss. I'm think about waiting one more week on Moss in which case I would have the 4 Rb's. McGahee and k Jones are certian. I'm thinking maybe j jones and A green.
Maybe it's a dynasty league that was built by drafting these guys? In which case it wouldn't be unusual for those guys to reside on 1 team a 14 team league. I am amazed at how many people make posts like the one you made, not really knowing the league format. Are you the only owner in your league? I am in a similar predicament:S. Alexander @ NY JetsM. Pittman vs NOK. Jones vs MinnHave to start 2 and bench 1.I am torn. I have Edge, Jamal, KJones and LJohnson.Edge is a stud and hard to bench, but he could easily be held out of the end zone against Balt.Jamal would normally be a no brainer against the Indy DT. But there is no guarantee he will see as many carries as Billick is suggesting now. It is always hard to predict which game will be a player's first real game back from injury.KJones could have a huge day against Minny.LJohnson has just been huge the last few weeks.I think I will start KJones for sure and flip a coin between Jamal and Edge. Any others in a similar predicament?![]()

Wasn't he the leading blocker for Dunn?No Griffith = more Dunn.
I'm debating whether or not to play Westbrook too. What are people's opinions on what Reid is going to do with his starters? Do they have home field wrapped up yet? With TO being dinged up I have to assume he won't play the entire game. That could give Westbrook more opportunities...or less since Dallas won't have to worry about TO anymore.Hrm...well that was a useless post.Interesting take. I have :McAllisterJ. If the Falcons lose Saturday against Carolina, I think the answer is yes. Please correct me if I'm wrong.Do they have home field wrapped up yet? With TO being dinged up I have to assume he won't play the entire game.
He was. Backup FB is Stanley Pritchett, formerly with MIA, PHI, and CHI. Shouldn't be too much of a dropoff in blocking duties, IMO.Wasn't he the leading blocker for Dunn?No Griffith = more Dunn.
Stanley Pritchett their back up FB, replaces Giffith and they've just signed FB Fred McCrary as insurance. Also, if you watched the Falcons this year, you'd have seen that they run a lot of single back sets, with just Dunn or Duckett in there. Now with Duckett out, when they go to the single back set, it will be 100% Dunn.Wasn't he the leading blocker for Dunn?No Griffith = more Dunn.
Not useless at all. Even if this is all more or less WDIS, at least we are hashing it all out. The frustrating part is that with all the info in the world, it's still impossible to know who is the best start. All I'm looking for in these threads is some sort of common reasoning for or against a particular player. I imagine I'll be checking this thread right up until Sunday am.Hrm...well that was a useless post.
I have this problem as well. I have to start 2 of these 3:S. AlexanderC. DillonK. JonesI have been riding Alexander and Dillon all year. My gut say's stay with this, but damn Kevin has been tearing it up and Minn can be run on bigtime. On the otherhand the Jets are tough against the run.I am in a similar predicament:S. I still haven't decided, but here's some info I dug up in case it helps anyone else:Alexander - He's basically had 3 bad games all year (low yardage and no scores). Week 2 at Tampa when his knee was bothering him. And, Seattle losses in Week 7 at Arizona and Week 12 vs Buffalo. In both cases, Seattle was behind most of the game and couldn't get anything going on offense - result 12-13 carries for Alexander. I think the big question here is, will Seattle be behind and/or lose to the Jets?K. Jones - One of my concerns was I had an impression that he didn't get featured as much in the 2nd half. When I looked at the numbers, this isn't really true. I think Mooch is feeding this guy just fine. Sure, when they were way down against Indy, he disappeared, but so would any running game (Detroit lost 41-9). And, he didn't do much in the 2nd half against Minnesota the first time - when you look at the game log, Minnesota had 2 really long, clock-killing drives in the 2nd half (came from behind and beat Detroit 22-19). So, he is being featured, but did the Vikings figure something out about the Lions in that 2nd half and does that spell trouble for Jones this week?Pittman - He puts up nice stat lines, but he does it in the weirdest ways. One week, its his rushing numbers, the next, his receiving. Why is that? Cause Gruden just loves this guy and does whatever he can to get him touches. He had a bad week last week against a tough defense, but now he gets a cupcake. In fact his 3 "bad" games (looking only at the last 7) came against San Diego and Atlanta twice. He seems to struggle against solid defenses and "go off" against weak ones. Enter the Saints...Bottom line, all of these guys get the touches to produce and have the skills to take advantage. The flow of the games this week will determine a lot.Still thinking....I have this problem as well. I have to start 2 of these 3:S. AlexanderC. DillonK. I actually have that optionShaun AlexanderI doubt many teams will have the luxury/debth to bench a RB of Alexander's caliber, but I would temper my expectations as the Jets would be smart to try and force Hasselbeck to put together his 3rd consecutive good game and beat them through the air... I say The Bus is a good play this week, especially with question marks surrounding Duece's health. Likewise I think LJ will be a good play, along with KJ against a minn. def he shreded for 100 yards on only 17 carries I believe...Bench Shaun Alexander against a tough Jets run D.
Don't bank on it. Plummer has been making his own mistakes and the fans are letting him know about it, Hence the finger he threw up last game to the fans. I don't necessarily think Shanny has lost faith, I think its more Droughns is wearing down. He has been a workhorse seeing 25-30 carries a game. This was his first time as a starter so he's not used to carrying that kind of load week after week. He got a break last week, so maybe he'll be on fresher legs. The problem here is which one will start?Even though KC is swiss-cheese I think skeletor has lost all faith in Droughns. They will probably pass much more than risk giving it to him. Bell, no need to start a guy with a bad shoulder.
:rotflmao:You're = contraction for You areYour = possessive form of youYou're not alone either.DUCE = Duce StaleyDeuce = Deuce McAllister.Your not alone, because that is done frequently on this board. The Bus is a good play this week, especially with question marks surrounding Duece's health.
I got lucky with a few trades... Drafted Green, lewis, Q Griffin, brown and suggs. After week one I traded Griffin for holt. When Suggs was playing and Mcgahee was on the bench I traded suggs for Mcgahee. When K Jones was hurt he was dropped and I picked him up along with j jones. Traded C. brown for moss after week moss got hurt hoping to have him for the playoffs. Drafted C JohnsonAre you the only owner in your league? Only when somebody gets put on IR or gets signed or activated from the practice squad, confusing matters more. When the hell ever have we "known more about Denver RB's later in the week?"
Yea, I'm absolutely avoiding that whole situation this weekend... luckily I seem to have an overflow of RBs to choose from this weekend:McGaheeJamalMcAllisterLJBellOnly when somebody gets put on IR or gets signed or activated from the practice squad, confusing matters more. When the hell ever have we "known more about Denver RB's later in the week?"I'm going to go out on a limb, and say Garrison Hearst is the man this week for Denver, since we now have a clear 2 pronged dilemma with both choices possibly being wrong.
It would be more difficult to get hose players in dynasty. J Jones and McGahee could have been picked up in FA this year, depending on roster size. Assuming no trades, Lewis and Green were probably taken at the end of round 1 ans start of round 2. K Jones could have been a 4th round pick.I'm sure you were complimenting his team, but I was referring to the "Are you the only owner in your league?" comment. That's true too. I disagree with you those players are hard to obtain in a dynasty league, especially if the league has been around for years. Portis actually went in the 2nd rd of one of our dynasty ROOKIE drafts the year he was drafted by Denver. I emphasize "OUR DYNASTY ROOKIE DRAFT", not mixed with the veteran draft. It would be more difficult to get hose players in dynasty.
