Welll since Losman sucks, I vote Holcomb, since he is not as bad.

While I don't like Losman's chances, as a first round pick, he still needs more than eight starts to prove himself. Losman should start.

I don't want to own the 2006 season opener starter. Whoever it is, he will lose the job to one of the other two.

I'm guessing Losman starts the season and loses the job to Nall eventually.

I think Losman will start the season. Who is the starter by the end of the season is really anyone's guess.

Losman is definately the front runner. He showed signs of life last year but he was dealt with so poorly by Malarky and company (worst coach in football IMO) he didnt know what to do.

If Losman gets a fair shake, he will be minimally a decent starter, especially with his running ability. He has by far teh greatest upside and throws the best long ball of the bunch.

I like Nall, I think he is heady and can be a good starter, but is still behind in the arm strength and scrambling/making plays ability.

Holcombe is nothing more then a band aid on a gaping wound. He has no arm, can disappear for games on end... no thanks. He truly isnt that good, a very GOOD backup tho... and I think he will take over the backup role for whoever starts IMO.

My early reaction (because I know you've all been waiting) is that I'm surprised at the lack of buzz around Nall, but not surprised by the split of Holcomb/Losman votes.

When they signed Nall the local Buffalo media seemed pretty excited based on the back up to Favre factory that normally puts out starters, but after the last round of mini camps and OTA's, it seemed that things were back to Losman vs Holcomb.

Like others here, I think Losman opens the season as starter and think Coach #### will keep a short leash on him. Too many memories of a certain 1st round bust in Chicago fresh in his mind.

Losman gets it and is given a fair chance to keep it. I think he will progress nicely and will keep the job.
I agree. Losman starts the season and is given the opportunity to learn on the job for 4 or 5 weeks. After that, if he is not going to hold the job with poor reads, mistakes and poor command of the offense. Moulds was vocal as to wanting Holcomb at the helm, but Moulds is gone. So are the pathetic coaches and GM they had in Buffalo.

Losman needs a tutor. Holcomb won't be too inclined to mentor him. He will have to rely on the coaches to get the point across!

 How did Construx boy get to vote 12 times?

Somebody tried for comic relief and asked about Collins - Why would they want to sign a guy who wants two much money when they already have three QB signed?

where's the flutie option?
If I see anybody wearing his jersey at games this year, or even mention his name I will almost be forced to slap the #### out of them :hot:  :wall: Sorry. Yes I do realize that he was the 1st and only Buffalo QB since Kelly to take them to the playoffs. It didn't last long though and it would'nt have even if he stayed. I was one of those guys who'd vote 'neither' back when the debate was Flutie or Johnson. :X

I really have no doubt that JP will start the season. I think he looked pretty decent the last 3 or 4 games of last year.

If I had to assign probabilities to the 3 options, I'd say it would be something like this:

Losman: 50%

Holcomb: 35%

Nall: 15%

Losman was awful at times last year, but he also showed signs of improvement after he was benched. Holcomb is old with a weak arm so he's a bad fit for the speed they now have at WR with Evans, A.Davis, P.Price. Nall is a wild card but will probably need the other two to fail before he gets a real chance.

I asked about Collins because I put his value as a tutor above that of Holcomb. Collins has at least played in games that mattered in the playoffs. Holcomb? Not so much. Don't get me wrong, Collins likely would want more money than he's worth and he probably wants to go somewhere to compete. The Bills are maybe 3rd best team in that division, battling the Jets for the toilet bowl.I am so full from my dinner I feel as though I am spelling many words incorrectly but am too lazy to clarify.

I wouldn't want to touch any of these guys to be honest, that's a very young team with uncertainty at so many positions....TE? Other than Lee Evans who is a sure thing at WR? McGahee is the only bonafide star on the O side of the ball if you ask me.

Believe it or not, I've actually heard some reports that Nall looks like the best of the bunch right now.

I still think that Holcomb has as good a chance as Losman and a better chance than Nall to start, but I also regret taking him in that draft. I just don't think any of the Bill QBs will score enough to make a significant impact on a fantasy team and there is a high probability that all three may wind up starting for a period of time.

Whether this will actually happen who knows, but Losman SHOULD be the guy for the start of the season. The Bills must find out if Losman can play football in the NFL this year. If not, then they need to draft someone in 2007. Either way, they have to give Losman another shot to see if he can be the guy that they moved up in the first round to take 2 years ago.

BUF - Bills' QB Nall Most Impressive?

Source: Scout.com

Not only is QB Craig Nall being given a chance to compete for the starting job, those who watched the Bills' off-season practices noted that Nall was the most impressive of the three quarterbacks. Nall showed the ability to get the ball in to tight areas and on time which is an important attribute of OC Steve Fairchild's scheme.

What a mess the Bills have at QB. Or one could look at it positively and say what a tough choice they have between three good QB. We're leaning a little more toward the former. The team seems to be talking Kelly Holcomb. But J.P. Losman has improved. And now we get blurbs like this on Nall. Training camp should be a lot of fun for these guys.
