I remember Obama saying if you liked your healthcare plan then nothing would change for you. That was obviously a joke since my company is no longer allowed to offer the same plan they have been offering us because it's too good of a plan. LOL. I can't believe anyone with a job and a brain supports this guy.

Anyone with a brain would ask their employer to show them the provision of the law or regulations that says they can't offer the same plan they did before.

Talked to the Insurance Company. They aren't allowed to offer that plan any longer because it provides too much coverage. Maybe the whole world is lying to me.

I woke up this morning and my electricity was out, my vehicle wouldn't start, my office was closed, the traffic lights were all off.... oh wait. none of that happened.

But my sister has been told that she needs to continue to report to work but won't receive any paychecks until this mess is over. And then, just to add some more pain, starting in November the sequester is causing her one furlough day every two weeks, dropping her paycheck by 10%. She's cash strapped as is, so she's all kinds of stressed out. So go to hell.

Here's the deal.

If I own a business and I employ 10 people making $100k/yr to do the work of 5 people, but I'm only taking in $60k in sales... I simply can't afford to keep those employees on payroll.

Good God, this is stupid. You're acting as if a government shutdown is some money-saving tactic because times are tight. Yet no one is arguing that this shutdown will do anything but COST us money as a nation. Your math is nonsense.

BTW, my sister is in the FBI. Modeling them as a profit center probably isn't the ideal way to view their function.

I'm actually fine with that except the thing has been approved by congress, passed through the Supreme Court and is now implemented. Like John McCain said, 'it'll be overturned when the GOP has 67 Senate seats.' What will they shutdown the government for next? Taking a look at abortion? Prohibiting alcohol sales? This is not the time for this fight, that time has passed and will likely come again but not with threats that lead us down the road to nowhere.

As I said earlier, shark move is to let this play out and then point to all the program failures at the mid-term elections. There is no reason to do this now, except for grandstanding and to further the animosity between the parties and widen the gap between elected officials and the voters.

I remember Obama saying if you liked your healthcare plan then nothing would change for you. That was obviously a joke since my company is no longer allowed to offer the same plan they have been offering us because it's too good of a plan. LOL. I can't believe anyone with a job and a brain supports this guy.

Anyone with a brain would ask their employer to show them the provision of the law or regulations that says they can't offer the same plan they did before.

You are correct in that they can still offer the plans if they want... But, as I stated previously.. many companies are deciding not to pay a 40% excise tax and therefore people are not being able to keep the same insurance plans they had before ACA.The main that was given for getting rid of these plans was that People under Cadillac plans use it more then they should..

Even if it's only a small increase in extra usage why promote that? Companies are welcome to pay their employees more to make up for the loss in coverage.
