I don't care for medical dramas
An old member of the forum named Sarnoff used to run a TV show cancellation contest. It was really intricate. One thing I learned is never to bet on a medical show not succeeding no matter how outrageous or stupid you think the premise might be.
They all succeeded and got out of the first year and I'd bet against at least two of them. I generally loathe medical procedurals like you, but House I really enjoyed for a time. It was just an interesting show until they switched doctors (as was said upthread) and Olivia Wilde was cast on the show. Then it became a little outrageous, smarmy, and not as well-written.
By the way, it's never lupus.
