Ok, not my wife, but my pop's wife (me mom) had this for me this week:
Me: OK, I almost have the battery out of pop's scooter - I'll go out and get the new one in about an hour. Traffic will be better.
Mom: No - you're too tired and have done too much already. Do it next week - go home right now.
Me: <packs up tools and prepares to leave>
Mom: What about the garage? Weren't you going to clean the garage?
Me: Well yeah - after the scooter fix - that's going to leave a mess.
Mom: So - why haven't you finished the scooter?
Me:
