I had more than a few pretty conservative professors. Yet somehow I am not conservative. Weird.Just the fact that the position of professor has thousands of left wing lunatics makes me want to vomit. They spew this rhetoric to millions of gullible college kids who buy right in.
I had...I had more than a few pretty conservative professors. Yet somehow I am not conservative. Weird.
He confuses everybody, apparently. This guy is anti-white according to the article? I'm confused.
Are you conservative or liberal today?I had...
two.
Out of about fifty.
Academia is such a joke.
I'm pretty fairly consistently libertarian/fusionist right with some serious anti-authoritarian leanings on this board. Are you conservative or liberal today?
Uhhh...OK.I'm pretty fairly consistently libertarian/fusionist right with some serious anti-authoritarian leanings on this board.
Not so hard, man. There's a lot of authoritarianism that came from the progressive left in the early 20th century that I rebel against, and a lot from the traditional right that I'd also rebel against. If you ever are confused, feel free to ask.
I do know that most of my professors came from that lockstep progressivist/Wilsonian left that I do not like. Some were Marxists, some communists, some progressives. I had two professors that came from the right, and were always apologizing for it.
this is ####### fantastic if just a little heavy-handed for a troll attemptJust the fact that the position of professor has thousands of left wing lunatics makes me want to vomit. They spew this rhetoric to millions of gullible college kids who buy right in.
I went by the local liberal arts college today in my hometown and they have a huge Black Lives Matter sign at the front entrance. Nuff said.
As a finance major I believe the overwhelming majority of my professors were conservative.I had...
two.
Out of about fifty.
Academia is such a joke.
That makes sense. I won't argue that. Anything that deals with the humanities, though...As a finance major I believe the overwhelming majority of my professors were conservative.![]()
My anthropology 101 prof looked like, and was, the hippiest of hippies. So yes, that has also been my experience. That makes sense. I won't argue that. Anything that deals with the humanities, though...
Whoa.
Philly. Right next to the Penn campus. One of the most overpriced schools in the country. He confuses everybody, apparently.
Thank you, Drexel, for the hire.
Isn't Drexel in PA?
You know, it's odd @squistion would like Reg's post without a shred of indignity being suffered at the hands of those whose side he would lay claim to. Every day, people on this board contradict people on their "side" and condemn publicly, and with no room for wiggle, people that act idiotically but for their own political platforms. This guy should be one of them.
Those of us with Trump do it every day.
Yet @squistion, in his infinite wisdom, chooses to remain silent on this issue and likes an OPM post that's directed at me but should have been directed at ROCKET, as I brought up none of the issues OPM speaks of. Not only can he not bring himself to condemn this idiotic SOB, he then likes a post that lacks all sorts of reading comprehension and conflates my argument with ROCKET's. Yet this should be no news to the members of this board that know better than that.
They're ideologues, pure and simple. And you know what else?
They're scared. They know the wheels are off. Squistion is a ##### and a loon, and he knows we know.
Keep fighting fellas, keep fighting.
True, but this guy's visceral reaction and subsequent public meltdown about it isn't as reasoned as your attempt to disarm a patriotic fervor. The person who gave up their seat might simply be saying "thank you for your service" and should be treated that way. While what he said was kind of tasteless, I don't get the hero worship people in the military receive. The military is just made up of people, some are lazy, some are hard workers, some will do heroic things under pressure, some are thieves etc. They should be treated individually, if someone does something heroic they can have hero worship, not sure we need to worship some guy who cooks hotdogs in Germany or whatever.
Funny story - my buddy at work is a part-time J.A.G. and once every 6 months or so he has to go to the Midwest for some sort of recertification. Let's just say he's a weekend warrior without the warrior part. While what he said was kind of tasteless, I don't get the hero worship people in the military receive. I don't know what is hell is wrong with you, but either you are seriously in your cups on a Friday night or you got some major issues that has nothing to do with this forum, this thread, or me.Yeah, that emoticon isn't going to bail you out.
You were here and can't even bring yourself to condemn this guy, which I would do in a heartbeat if it were my side.
You're sad. Bad hombre.
You deserve all the

Maybe I'm just sick of bull####?I don't know what is hell is wrong with you, but either you are seriously in your cups on a Friday night or you got some major issues that has nothing to do with this forum, this thread, or me.
You are getting bent out of shape out of a "like" I gave to a poster, who I was just simply agreeing with his take. Yet. you are reading into it all kinds of weird speculative things about me and what kind of person I am, based on clicking the like button. That is really strange.
James Fenimore Cooper.True, but this guy's visceral reaction and subsequent public meltdown about it isn't as reasoned as your attempt to disarm a patriotic fervor. The person who gave up their seat might simply be saying "thank you for your service" and should be treated that way.
Of course, to squistion, Kaepernick is a hero, but the serviceman isn't, because that's how he sees things.
This IS the point. Nothing else you said matters in the least. He didn't like it. Great. Don't like it. Go on with your life. Nope, in this day and age of "Look at me!" he decided to post it where everyone could see it. He's a self-absorbed idiot without a modicum of common sense, plain and simple. So now he gets to enjoy the backlash. Lesson learned? Doubtful. He'll probably turn around and do it again tomorrow. Unfortunately it's the world we live in now. While what he said was kind of tasteless,
Almost every man or woman in the military is a hero, sure there are a bad eggs, but this isn't just any job. Once you are enlisted you can't just quit, you give up a lot of freedoms to join, your odds of dying are a lot greater than almost every other job and the pay isn't great. While what he said was kind of tasteless, I don't get the hero worship people in the military receive. You whine about likes all the time.I don't know what is hell is wrong with you, but either you are seriously in your cups on a Friday night or you got some major issues that has nothing to do with this forum, this thread, or me.

Because what they do for a living is necessary to our nation, they may well die or be horribly physically or emotionally scarred by it, they don't get paid very well, and they at least represent a class of people who intend to sacrifice in the name of patriotism and service. While what he said was kind of tasteless, I don't get the hero worship people in the military receive. That's pretty much all it's about. A guy who's a heavily invested life troll and feels his opinions are extremely enlightened and important, and not a very strange combination of privilege and black-and-white reduction of complex issues.Wait, what? I'm so confused...
This guy, who (by his picture) is SERIOUSLY white yet is described as an "anti-white" professor, has a problem with a citizen giving up his first class seat on an airplane to a soldier. So he starts chanting wanted to chant (ETA the guy didn't even have the balls to do it, he just "wanted to") "Mosul" in, what i assume, is meant as a protest against the military action in Iraq.
And then we get an argument here in the FFA about it? This guy is a doushe and this shouldn't have even been a story.
Wtf is this story even about, other than a richard complaining?
By the same token, I'm glad to have the information at times. Lets me know where not to spend my time and money.I miss the pre-social media era when ignorant people would run their mouth and nobody would pay attention or care.
Btw only about 5% of students pay the full quoted rate at Drexel. "Dirty little secret"Philly. Right next to the Penn campus. One of the most overpriced schools in the country.
That's also true, but these days it's non-stop information overload with garbage news originating from equally worthless social media posts. People have instant access to almost all information from all of history and yet they are dumber than ever.By the same token, I'm glad to have the information at times. There's a rather sizable gap between knowledge and understanding. That's also true, but these days it's non-stop information overload with garbage news originating from equally worthless social media posts. People have instant access to almost all information from all of history and yet they are dumber than ever.
