Great pick.
I'd still have to go with the overly played "Sweet Emotion"...that bass line is too epic. You couldn't pick a better opening song for Dazed and Confused.

Pick 3.01 - Creedence Clearwater Revival - Lookin' Out My Back Door
Tough to pick one CCR song - Green River, Run Through the Jungle, Bad Moon Rising, and Fortunate Son were some of the others I considered. I've just always liked this one - when you listen to this song you can't help but feel a little bit happier.
Nice! I had considered Aneurysm, which I feel kind of encapsulates the frenetic energy and emotion that to me is the essence of Nirvana.
Pick 3.01 - Creedence Clearwater Revival - Lookin' Out My Back Door
Yeah, that's a great one too, and kind of the polar opposite of "Lookin' Out My Back Door" in the emotions that it evokes.A lot to choose from here, but "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" has been one of my all time favorites for quite some time.
I think it was one of those things that sound different in written form versus verbal.I'll take that hint.
Still not a teen movie, KP.You couldn't pick a better opening song for Dazed and Confused.
So many ways to take it, but Lounge Act is my go-toI'd go "Lithium" or "Come as You Are" but I do like Lounge Act as their best of the unheralded songs.
ETA: Their remake of Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World" is my single favorite song from that session.

Round 3
One of the songs I considered at 2 overall is still on the board but doesn't really fit my current mix. Didn't take his Sabbath stuff so taking my fav of his solo work.
Ozzy- You Can't Kill Rock and Roll
One of those few ubiquitous crossover metal bangersI'm not an Ozzy scholar so I'd lean "Crazy Train", which probably has hardcore fans rolling their eyes...I just really like that song.![]()
Not really, that's my second fav on most days!I'm not an Ozzy scholar so I'd lean "Crazy Train", which probably has hardcore fans rolling their eyes...I just really like that song.![]()
Not a good movie, but was that the one we were arguing about? (that feels so long ago... )Still not a teen movie, KP.

it was the general concept and scoring we argued about. That was one of the movies in question. Was a bit ago, though. Not a good movie, but was that the one we were arguing about? (that feels so long ago... )
great songAlso, “Robot Rock” might be Daft Punk’s best song. Or newest to my ears. Not played out.
rock
robot rock
Heading out to see XXX XXXXXXXXXXX at the Stone Pony with dinner plans first so I’ll pick in the morning at some point if it gets to me.
Okay, I just woke up. Er, too groggy to say much, but back to shoegaze or dream pop or something...@Pip's Invitation timed out
@Northern Voice requested to be skipped and can pick anytime
so that makes @Chaos Commish up!
Oooh love this pickOkay, I just woke up. Er, too groggy to say much, but back to shoegaze or dream pop or something...
3.7 Beach House - Silver Soul
I would go with a lot of different songs there. Lounge Act isn't even jumping to my mind, I need to listen.I'd go "Lithium" or "Come as You Are" but I do like Lounge Act as their best of the unheralded songs.

Hell yeah (though I prefer 10 Mile Stereo)Okay, I just woke up. Er, too groggy to say much, but back to shoegaze or dream pop or something...
3.7 Beach House - Silver Soul
also top 1, but mine's sexier. hahHell yeah (though I prefer 10 Mile Stereo)
No disrespect- I think part of the shtick of the draft is debating what we would have taken. I am just so happy to see Beach House getting their due respect. 3rd round, LFG!also top 1, but mine's sexier. hah
cool cool, i have something else in the pipeline i could wait on forever to take that i'm sure is right up your alley. for now i am plucking the one's that might be snipey. No disrespect- I think part of the shtick of the draft is debating what we would have taken. I want to create a somewhat cohesive playlist so I don't know exactly where I will go but you were right to grab Beach House early. They are always on my radar. If I had to do a draft of MY BANDS, they would make the cut for sure.cool cool, i have something else in the pipeline i could wait on forever to take that i'm sure is right up your alley. for now i am plucking the one's that might be snipey.
This would've been my pick, but there's like 5 or 6 songs I'd be happy with. It's probably a top 5 all-time live song for me.Hell yeah (though I prefer 10 Mile Stereo)

Shhhh… also you draft Bhad Bhabie, that will fit with your female themePlenty of Hip Hop available
Not sure if this fits better here or the movie thread or the movie club thread and I may duplicate but Barnes and Noble has their 50% off Criterion Sale and I just received my copies of The Complete Monterrey Pop Concert Films, Buena Vista Social Club and Festival (3 years of the Newport Folk Fest). I can't wait to crank those up to 11.

everything i've seen on tiktok was handed to me from chaosburgers.Vanessa Carlton has been sampled a lot.
ditkaburgers showed me a Tiktok this summer of the crowd at some Rap concert singing A Thousand Miles but I'm hopeless finding anything on that godforsaken website.
