THIS IS THEIR BEST SONG! - Music Draft - Saturday Night's Alright for iFighting (2 Viewers)

I know I’m still a ways away but put me on skip. I’m usually able to pop in every only about once or twice before 3:00

Is this how these drafts usually go?   I'm a virgin and this is more painful than enjoyable.

@Northern Voice   I hope you're feeling better.

Will you put the spreadsheet on the top of the first page, and put the draft order list in your second post? Much obliged.

Sincerely,

Peanut Gallery Coordinator

Love this song... but I would have went with  "My Fathers Gun" if he made to me.
Great song as is Mona Lisas. My favorite is on Tumbleweed, but which one it is I don't know, cause so many are favorites on that album. It depends on the day of which is my favorite.

Debated between Mona Lisa and Someone saved my life. Figuring Saved was really heartfelt and personal for EJ, but I just feel like Mona Lisa is such a great representation of the two's work with one saying here's a poem/story/song write some music to go along with it.

So what's the issue?  Too many participants?  Poor management by commish?  Too many points for tackles?
Maybe too many participants and the "commissioner" has mostly been a no-show for whatever reason. Obviously real life takes precedence so not blaming him, but it's the reason this has been very disorganized thus far.

Those two are probably my two favorites as well - Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding is up there as well.

1.18 - Deep Purple - You Keep On Moving

https://youtu.be/hUBAMxjEtZc

From the LP: Come Taste The Band (1975)

Written by David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes. Tommy Bolin guitar.

While not the best Deep Purple lineup, it's the best Deep Purple song from any lineup.

A soulful gem both lyrically and musically.

This song was originally intended to be on the LP Burn, but didn't make the final cut. Then it was supposed to be on Stormbringer, but missed the cut there too. In both cases the song was vetoed by Ritchie Blackmore, who probably sensed it was a poor fit for his playing style.

Blackmore departs the band and his replacement, the ill-fated Tommy Bolin, immediately loves the song and per bassist Hughes, everything clicked perhaps because:

“Tommy was different, wasn’t he?” he says. “He had a very South American-flavoured, Brazilian, reggae-ish way of playing guitar; it wasn’t European. It was be-boppy, it was jazz, it was everything Deep Purple weren’t. He was a genius.”

I have krista's instructions. I'll be here for the next 25 minutes, then out for about 15 minutes, then back for the afternoon.

1.19  Thunder Road- Bruce Springsteen

While some of you are Drafting WR3's I'll take a true RB1.

Just a masterpiece of a song by the Boss, from the opening piano and harmonica  to the Sax play by Clarence Clemons to the perfect lyrics.  How can you not love this song??

Show a little faith there's magic in the night

you ain't a beauty but hey you're alright

I could count on one hand the way number of "Boss" songs that I like. This is definitely one.
