Thomas Davis re-tears right ACL (1 Viewer)

per cbs reports:

The Panthers have decided to keep Jon Beason at WLB for now with MLB Dan Connor manning the middle. James Anderson is staying at SLB.

We should start a new thread on this

Me thinks it is the beginning of the end for Thomas Davis.
He's only 27 so all hope is not lost. His game will really suffer quite a bit if he permanently loses some of his great speed though.
Darin Gannt said he rode by him on an old Schwinn 10 speed...pretty fast too. Games don't start for another month and in 3 months he could be back. You never know.

The Rock Hill Herald's Darin Gantt confirms that new Panthers MLB Dan Connor is not practicing as part of the team's nickel package.

The two nickel 'backers are WLB Jon Beason and SLB James Anderson. Connor isn't going to be an every-down player, so it's hard to get too excited about his prospects in IDP leagues. Beason remains the Carolina linebacker to target.

 This was in response to a follow-up question I asked Gantt after his note on Beason's strong nickel play during practice. It's awesome that the writers are as gracious with their time as they have been on Twitter.

Nice, Wow. Access to information has come a long way in a very short amount of time. What's next? Braincams?
