Tiki Barber (1 Viewer)

Does anyone believe the Bucs might entice Tiki to come out of retirement to play with Ronde? Do the Giants still own his rights and if so would that force a trade for such a thing to happen? Just wondering if anyone is looking at him in the same light as say Ricky Williams and grabbing him off the wire in light of all the RB injuries, byes, etc. Also wondering what value he may have going forward in a dynasty league if any.

I would say none. He's done for good.
From another site-In an upcoming edition of "Steppin' Out" magazine, Tiki Barber admits that football is still not out of his system."I want to be out there playing on Sunday afternoons," Barber says. "I miss the stage. If I wanted to come back and play football next year I could. I know I still have a lot left." It doesn't sound like he'd leave NBC to play again this year. Barber will be 33 years old when next season kicks off.Regardless - I don't think he has much value- but it will for sure be a race if Tampa figured out a way to get him to come back now.

He should come out now and go play for Green Bay. Wouldn't that be something?? I really believe he'll play again just not for the Giants.

The Giants still own his rights so they will have the final say.

...and given all the jabs at Manning and co. since taking his new analyst position, I doubt he is welcome into that clubhouse...

Agreed but they will dictate where he ends up.If they get three similar offers they will probably choose the worst team for the higher draft choice.

he was on the Daily Show talking about how he hasn't worked out in 6 months. We won't be seeing him in a uniform this season, that's for sure.

Just for fun:

Notice how he said "next year"? I wonder weather or not Tom Coughlin is still the HC "next year" would influence his decision making?

I think you roster him if you've got room. I don't expect to hear much about him the rest of this year because of his rights being in the Giants hands. But - after a year of retirement I believe he's a "free agent" - can anyone confirm? If so, I believe we'll hear that he's resumed working out in the off season in hopes of a reunion tour. I picked him up in a 30 player roster league, but in my 20 player leagues, I've placed my "old guy who hopes to rebound" money on Ricky.
