Tiki has Cast on Hand and will be limited (1 Viewer)

According to the Blogger Tiki has a cast on his hand and will be limited this weekend. Who's starting Jacobs?
I am in a 16 team league. I lost Portis last week  , so it's Jacobs from here on out. But I own Tiki in two other leagues, so I hope Tiki is fine.

Tom worries as Tiki

gives thumbs-up

N.Y. Daily NewsTiki Barber practiced cautiously with a cast on his injured right thumb yesterday, but insisted he will be able to play in Jacksonville Monday night.

"We had two days off and I'm not worried about it," the NFL's top rusher said in a brief appearance in the locker room, a newspaper folded over his right hand. "I played most of the game (with it) against the Bears, so it's not something that's entered my consciousness.

"It feels OK. I have a ridiculous pain tolerance and I'm not taking any medication for it."

Tom Coughlin sounded more cautious.

"Last week during that game there really wasn't any need to do anything. He caught the ball, he blocked, he protected, he ran the ball, he took care of the ball," he said. "So we are going to see how that goes this particular week."

if you can convince me to start him over LJ or Westbrook, I'm all ears.
I think it would be easier to convince you to quit playing fantasy football with those 7 third graders that are in your league.
 So you're saying if I have those two, I'm playing with 7 third graders? Get off your high horse and actually make an effort in replying to the subject at hand. You have no idea how our league is set up, good day.

You misread what was written in the News section. He is limited in practice but will play this Monday. He's not going to be limited in the game.

There is nothing in this report today which states that Tiki was even limited in practice or that Jacobs was stealing reps or anything.

Tiki has given no indication from as early as Monday that there is any question about whether he will play.

Given that he ran with no limitations and even caught the ball after the injury against Chicago's top defense leads me to believe that he will be okay.

Actually, the article on the Blogger when I saw it had no link, just the headline and a couple sentences about him being limited. I was thinking more like those people that have a flex position and don't have Tiki (my situation). I think I will not be starting him but I see it being tempting to some people who grabbed him.....

He could have gotten Westy cheaply from a freaked out owner b/c of his injury, or he could have possibly got him at the end of the second in a snake draft.

I see Jacobs pounding the Jax D-line after Tiki wears out. You've got to realize that, like the rest of the season, the goal line carries will go to Jacobs. As a Tiki owner I'm VERY hesitant to start him. I'm personally going with TJones vs NYJ as my #2RB. PPR league, 6RUTD, 1/10yds rush. I got FWP vs CLE as my #1RB.

Hell, I traded Tiki away this week (but kept Jacobs). In a td heavy league he is a marginal back at best and only that because his combined yardage equals about a td a week.

If you are not fortunate enough to have LJ, LT, Westbrook and you can foist Barber on someone for good return value based on the hype of league leading rushing totals, go for it.

All I know is what I saw during the game last week when Tiki was on the sidelines, holding his hand like a little kid hurt on the playground. I think I am going with Jacobs this week.

I'm thinking about benching Tiki for MBIII. MBIII has a better matchup, even though he's in RBBC, but I'm worried Tiki may become a game time decision, and my roster has to be locked by kickoff Sunday.

He hurt his hand in the 1st quarter and then proceeded to rush for 140 against the Bears. What more do you want?

If you're taking requests, 4 TDs and 200 yards total. But, there's only one LT.

Don't bench Tiki unless you have LT and LJ.

With Tiki retiring, I think that he would have to be in a lot of pain to take a reduced role (unless it's a blowout). However, as a Giants homer I would love the opportunity to see Jacobs carry the load for a game and see what we have here. I think that Jacobs is going to turn alot of heads next year and be a pretty solid RB both NFL and fantasy wise.

Well, I have Tiki and LT2 and I also have Gore. Tiki is on my bench this week.

Fair enough, I wouldn't, but it's arguable. If McGahee were healthy, I'd face a tough choice, but probably go with Tiki (PPR league)
You think the difference between Thomas and McGahee is that big, huh? I don't.
Yeah, I think it is, but as I don't have Thomas, it doesn't matter.

I live in NJ and haven't heard or read anything to indicate Tiki will be limited.

This hysteria is completely fabricated.

Let's see rest the sprained finger or retire with the NFL Rushing Title ... I think Tiki will go for the latter. But go ahead and play Gore who has a concussion or MBIII who is a backup RB over Tiki.
