the guy can play.......classic thumper who seems to be really active and 'around the ball'. didn't notice him leaving the field either on 3rd's(like i assumed Burnett or someone would spot him). his projections may need to be raised

Stephen Cooper didn't play in this preseason game. All practice indications still seemed to be Dobbins with the base, Burnett in the nickel earlier in the week. Looks like the Chargers are planning to go with a four man nickel line and a 4-2-5 alignment with both ILBs on the field. Hopefully we'll get a better indication next week or the following week.

Dobbins played in the formation during this preseason game. Practice indications are that Burnett will replace him when Cooper is in the lineup, however. T

Obviously Jene mentioned this in the other thread - but just in case you didn't see, looks like Burnett now is running as the starting WILB.... if true, Dobbins isn't worth a spot right?

I'm at least holding DObbins at least until this is in stone, so far it has been a just at practice -and just as importantly, to make sure Cooper maintains his health throughout camp, because if Cooper gets nicked, Dobbins would be right back in it.
