Yes. Plan to drive as well. CalTrain/Bus/BART all seems like too big a pain, and I hate public transit anyway. You coming from PA?Tyson supposedly back for Dallas tonight. Hope he takes it easy. Going to Mavs-Warriors tomorrow!

No idea. I usually just eat before at home or at the arena. There's not really too many options near by other than Hegenburger (local burger spot), Denny's, Panada, In N Out.Tyson supposedly back for Dallas tonight. Hope he takes it easy. Going to Mavs-Warriors tomorrow!

What a game.WOW. E'twaun Moore for 3! Nice play call by Thibs
Nope, that's on the players. Great defense by the Bulls, questionable decision by the Thunder inbound man."OK GUYS, HUDDLE UP. My name is Scott Brooks and I have an awesome play drawn up here. 2 seconds left. Down 2. Lets hand the ball off to Russ 30 ft away from the basket. We have a timeout left but definitely don't call it if it looks like Russ is going to be doubled-remember there's only 2 seconds left. Ready? BREAK!"
If I had to guess who the others are:Joakim Noah becomes sixth Bulls player to grab 5,000th career rebounds.

But I'm gonna need someone to explain to me why he's suddenly a betteR MVP candidate than Anthony Davis. Davis has the higher PER, higher true shooting %, higher win shares and WS/48, is clearly the more impactful defender if you don't trust advanced stats on defense, plays a position where the NBA depth is far more shallow, and has played two more games.
Oh, and the Thunder have gotten 27 games from Kevin Durant and a full season of Serge Ibaka, their second and third biggest contributors. The Pelicans' second and third biggest contributors this season are probably Jrue Holiday and Omer Asik. The Thunder play in front of loud sellout crowds at home, the Pelicans are struggling to find a fan base. And yet the Pelicans are a half-game behind the Thunder.

He has high usage and efficiency on the offensive side, but how does he get so many rebounds? I remember when Dwayne Wade used to average over one block per game - more than many SFs and PFs - it was attributed to athleticism and anticipation/court IQ.Those early Bulls teams (before Pippen and Horace Grant arrived) were terrible. Not sure any of those guys was ever open. The guy who is open. But Bulls fans' retort was spot-on: who do you want taking some of those shots instead, Brad Sellers?
As for Westbrook, he's 4th in the NBA in assists, so he must be doing something right.

It reminds me of Michael Jordan early in his career when he was averaging 33-37 points per game.
He got a lot of criticism for taking so many shots.
But Bulls fans' retort was spot-on: who do you want taking some of those shots instead, Brad Sellers?
He gets all the long rebounds. He's big enough and a good enough leaper to snatch a rebound away from the pile once in a while, but mainly he's anticipating and running down long misses. A lot of his coast-to-coast baskets come from opponents' midrange jumpers gone horribly wrong - he grabs the rebound in space and takes off up the court. He has high usage and efficiency on the offensive side, but how does he get so many rebounds? He's a fearless, athletic freak who's also a ten on the motor and competitiveness scales. Sort of. Jordan's first MVP was in 1988, when Pippen and Grant were rookie bench players. CHI was 50-32, needed Jordan Over Ehlo to get out of the first round, and weren't competitive in the East semis.Did Jordan win the MVP in those early years?
It doesn't matter either way. A player from the 8 seed is not going to win MVP.OKC might miss the playoffs. Jordan didn't win his first MVP until 1988, when the Bulls won 50 games. He did NOT win the award in 1987, even though he averaged an almost-impossible 37 points a game. Why? Because the Bulls won only 40 games.

Davis has the longest odds by far. I haven't seen any articles or even posts (other than mine) touting him since December. He's in the conversation in that people will mention his name at the end of the list because they feel obliged. But it's not the same. In any event, my point was not about whether he's in or out of some arbitrary notion of the "conversation", but that I don't see how you can make a case for Westbrook that doesn't make an even better case for Davis. Davis' team is basically tied with Westbrook's in the standings, he's played more games, has the higher PER, and is IMO the better defender, or at least the more impactful/valuable one.I don't think anyone took Davis out of the discussion.
