Cuban's Twitter game is a pile of fetid garbage. Just retweeting dumb memes and "brand" tweets. He needs to cut the #### and start tearing down walls if this goes down.

Paul Pierce tweeting a clip art of an emoji was epic.

I'd post the link but I'm older than Pierce and don't know how to from my phone.

Edit: TRE got it.

So if Jordan stays with Clips, does Wes Matthews still want to sign with Mavs?

Mavs try to get Robin Lopez to change his mind?

S&T Ellis to Pacers for Hibbert since his trade to Lakers isn't final?

This is nuts.

So it sounds like the agent agreed maybe with Jordan's consent but maybe without it??? Or they just did not have a good conversation prior to the verbal agreement?

Wow. The agent has the most to lose here I think.

Google tells me the deal was agreed to 5 days ago. So is the thought that Jordan didn't realize his agent did that until yesterday, despite the world knowing?

The gist is that agent was poisoning the well with the Clippers (supposedly he demanded a CP3 trade, etc) without DJ knowing since he basically had an under the table agreement with Cuban after he ####ed Cuban over last summer with Howard.

In his defense, he's probably been high that whole time.

How is CP3 making a pitch when he's drinking wine and riding a banana boat with Wade, Melo, and LeBron?
He's not

Sources: Clips responded to Jordan expressing doubt on decision. Griffin, Redick may be in Houston w/ Doc today. Dallas fortifying response.
Who looks worse, the agent, the Clippers, or Jordan?
I would say Jordan. How does he not know what his agent is doing? Did Jordan even know he was a free agent? And how is this coming up now when the supposed agreement with Dallas has been common knowledge for days? The guy comes off as one part idiot, one part drama queen. Of course, that makes him perfect for the Clips.

Chances of getting pinched for weed in Texas are a lot higher than in CA. Jordan probably wasn't clued in to the fact that you're pretty much free and clear just as long as somebody in your crew has a perscription for "back aches."

According to Ramona Shelburne, DJ reached out to Blake and Doc Monday night after having second thoughts about Dallas.

Jordan is going to get at least $80M one way or another. The agent may get blackballed by teams and then therefore also his clients.

What's the story with DJ's agent? Was he trashing LAC to DJ in order to convince him to go to Dallas cuz the agent owed the Mav's for screwing up the Deron Williams deal a few years back?

What was the point of creating this waiting period in the first place?
I read it somewhere today but I can't find it, but apparently it is so the league can calculate the salary cap and what not.
Yep. July 1 is the start/finish of NBA's fiscal year. They spend the first week of July counting all the money they made over the previous season, make estimates on the new season's revenues, then set the financial parameters for the new season, including the new salary cap and luxury tax threshold.

Heard today that Boozer and Hedo have done this in the past.

So it's not unprecedented, but it is rare.

I don't see a reason to change the league calendar because of it.

So why not just make the negotiating period.......today?
