Seriously? The Heat became my least-favorite team in the NBA when they acquired Zoran Dragic.

How many teams would you give the benefit of the doubt to with this signing? 5, maybe? The Spurs are one of them though.Any time you can get a Boban, you do it.
The Spurs and All-Euroleague First Team center Boban Marjanovic have a deal, reports David Pick of Eurobasket.com (Twitter links). The Serbian who turns 27 in August has blossomed overseas since going undrafted in 2010.
Marjanovic spent the past season with KK Crvena Zvezda in his home country, averaging 13.1 points and 8.6 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per game. His size is an asset, as he’s variously listed at either 7’3″ or 7’4″. Still, he posted only 0.9 blocks per contest this year, though that might be because few dare to challenge him at the rim.

But Zoran, #### that guy.
we can only hope it will lower his value enough that milwaukee gets him bam score one for brewtown take that to the bankSay it again: How does a guy with pending charges related to drugs or alcohol put himself in a position to get in trouble again with drugs or alcohol? Lawson had pretrial conditions of bond in Denver that said he needed to avoid alcohol. Since it appears he wasn't being tested on a regular basis than it stands to reason that pretty much the only way he could get in trouble would be through alcohol-consumption-detection via a DUI/DWI stop.

He'd be the "mouse in the house" for the Bucks style of defense. Also, not sure the ideal location for a player with drinking issues is in the state with more bars/drinking per capita than any other. With that said, I'm in. McGary showed promise but he's not there yet. Kanter can produce (offensively) every night. I'm not a huge fan of paying him this much, but I think it was the right move. For the record, I hate the Kanter match. 18M per year is waaaaaaaay too much even when the cap increases, and McGary is a better player IMO.
Kanter is a 23-year-old double-double workhorse who gave the Thunder 18.7 points and 11.0 rebounds in 26 games the previous season. He provides the Thunder something they've never had to complement Westbrook and Durant: a low block monster who can be effective inside and out. Before Kanter arrived at the February trade deadline, no Thunder center in the Oklahoma City era had ever produced a 20-point, 10-rebound game. Kanter had 11 in 26 games. (For a little more perspective, DeAndre Jordan had seven total the past season. Dwight Howard had 11. Al Horford had seven. Blake Griffin had nine. Marc Gasol had eight. No, Kanter isn't better than them, but he does produce.)
I'd take a drunk Lawson over a sober Rondoi agree and the bucks are long enough and defensively stout enough everywhere else to make up for any size issues he has i agree with tre that he would be a good fit for the bucks i would give up mcw for him but i think i am on record that i would trade mcw for some other teams popcorn so there you have it take that to the bankHe's be the "mouse in the house" for the Bucks style of defense. Not every team can go out and get a 35-year old white guard.
* Enes Kanter, Oklahoma City. I don’t know what the Thunder thought it was getting when it traded for Kanter in February, but… what… a… defensive… disaster.
Kanter can score, no doubt, and he looks like a big man who should be able to play the pick-and-roll. But he can’t. He truly cannot.
He either doesn’t know how or doesn’t want to or just has a supreme talent for doing exactly the wrong thing whenever his man comes over to screen a guard.
Kanter’s so bad that opponents basically just call pick-and-rolls when he’s in the game, and if you can’t guard the pick-and-roll, you are doomed.
Among centers who get regular time in this league, there are several really porous defenders–and Kanter is by far the worst. He’s awful. I don’t think there’s any way he turns into even a half-way mediocre defender at any point in his career, it’s just too far gone.
(Although his one-time Jazz teammate Al Jefferson has turned into a not-terrible defender the last few years. So maybe I shouldn’t be so hasty. What do they teach those big guys in Salt Lake City?)
OKC’s on/off defensive splits: With Kanter on the floor, the Thunder gave up 113.0 points per 100 poss’s. With him off (in the games he was on the team), they gave up only 105.1 per 100.
Utah’s on/off D splits with Kanter this season: 112.1 per 100 when Kanter was on the floor, 103.5 per 100 when he was off (in the games he was on the team).
That’s two teams, one in Utah and one in Oklahoma, with almost identical large improvements precisely when Kanter was NOT in the game vs. when he was.
One more stat: Kanter registered a -3.88 DRPM this season, which ranked him 469th out of 474 total players.
Oh, and that mean point I made about Griffin only collecting 35 blocks in 67 games? Kanter only had 29 in 75 games split between Utah and OKC. And he’s 6-11.

if you've never watched Kanter closely on the defensive end, I recommend do so when the season starts. I've never seen anything like it. He might as well not be there. Other guys get taken off the dribble too easily or lose shooters running through screens too easily or whatever, but he is way past that kind of thing. He basically looks like one of us would look if we were 7 feet tall and handed an NBA uniform. Has absolutely no idea where to stand or what to do and the opponent attacks him every single possession. I actually would have guessed higher than 1.13 PPP, which is amazing considering how bad 1.13 is. The difference between OKC with Kanter on the floor and the worst defense in the league last season (Minnesota) is about as big as the difference between Golden State and an average team.Kanter is a statistical monster, no question about that. 18.7 PPG, 11 RPG, 24.9 PER, .611 TS%. Those are excellent numbers.
But is all that enough to make up for being First-Team No-Defense?

#ASSETSThe Thunder are preparing to trade Perry Jones and a future second round pick to the Celtics. The deal will create roughly $7m in savings.
I'm going to be wildly rooting against the Nuggets this year. Apologies in advance.Agreed. I said this morning that I think they would probably trade him just to clear up the cap space. Just trying to be hopefully for my Nuggets.

Me too. More lottery balls the better, for both of us. 2 things I got from that story are that Deandre Jordan is pretty much still a child, and I want to be friends with Chandler Parsons.Chandler Parsons sounds like he has a pretty fun life.
A couple people have made this observation this offseason as NY/LA teams have mostly failed to sign free agents: these guys don't have to play for those teams to live in or enjoy those cities any more. Any high profile free agent can charter private flights and limo rides anywhere they want. They can keep a house in their hometown, a condo in NY or LA and rent a penthouse in the city where they play near the practice facility/arena. How many days a year is a player for the Lakers/Clippers/Knicks/Nets in LA or NY during the season without a game to play or a flight to catch and able to really enjoy the city? Maybe a month's worth? Less? Point is, they're not really choosing a hometown the way the rest of us do when we take a job.2 things I got from that story are that Deandre Jordan is pretty much still a child, and I want to be friends with Chandler Parsons.Chandler Parsons sounds like he has a pretty fun life.
and I thought it was kinda dumb to take him out on the town so much here in LA..."hey, let's go to all of these awesome places that you're totally gonna miss!"
