Are you sure?Hell yes. Hell yes.
A protected first and four bench guys that aren't in the rotation for Lawson and a 2 is highway robbery. They need someone other than Harden to create. He was out of gas by the end of the year. Are you sure?I'm not sure I like this deal for Houston. Actually seems like a lot to give up - take it from a team that tried to get a troubled PG last year...Hell yes. Hell yes.
Lawson's not exactly a defender, and he's on on-ball guy when he's at his most effective. On the one hand, nice to take some pressure off of Harden to create. On the other...Harden needs the ball in his hands to be most effective.
Will be very interesting.
This.Good gamble for Houston. They weren't good enough to beat the Spurs or Warriors as constructed, so why not?
They have John Lucas, which will no doubt play a part in this. They don't have bars in Houston, right? I think this will work well.

Building a nice core of veteran leadership. They don't have bars in Houston, right? I think this will work well.
That is pretty goodRockets get alcoholic to pair with oversized teenager
Too bad that Josh Smith left. You know Simmons theory about having one knucklehead is ok but having two or more is usually a disaster? This should be interesting.
Then it would be predictable. Lawson and Howard seem like they're not full on knuckleheads, which is why they're interesting.Too bad that Josh Smith left. You know Simmons theory about having one knucklehead is ok but having two or more is usually a disaster? This should be interesting.
He looked good the first third of the year then fell out of the rotation. If any of the four players Denver acquired will play meaningful minutes this year, it's him. But all of the contracts traded are non guaranteed or partially guaranteed. I won't be surprised if Johnson is the only guy on Denvers roster when the season begins.I think it is a good trade for both teams. Lawson definitely has the talent to be a difference maker for the Rockets but he overstayed his welcome in Denver. A late first rounder is worth the gamble that he gets his #### together.
Abe/Rockets fans, is the Greek dude worth a crap? He seems like a homeless man's version of Gallinari.
? I didn't know that. I thought he was tradeable. But we shouldn't because he has potential. You can't trade Capella under any circumstances.
So Sac dumps their 1st round pick of last year to free up money. They use it to overpay Rondo. While watching Lawson get dealt for a cast of nobodies.I think its time we nominate someone else to start a new thread. I'm all shticked-out for thread titles.Cliff can we get a new thread title? Something about the summer league games or Laker/Clipper fans.
Both major hoops threads is a lot of shtick-work. I don't wanna spread myself too thin. The only answer is GPJ

Not to mention the fine work you are doing in the True Detective thread. Both major hoops threads is a lot of shtick-work. I don't wanna spread myself too thin. The only answer is GPJ
They all have to play each other four times. It seems crazy to think the play in the west could be even better this year. What's the record for 60 win teams in a single conference? Because 4 or 5 is definitely in play for next year in the west.
He was already lost for this season, right? Maybe the break was the reason for the pain? Or is this brand new, not just previously undiscovered?
Joel Embiid (foot) re-broke the navicular bone in his right foot, sources told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Bad news is getting worse for Philadelphia. The Sixers issued a statement indicating Embiid hadn't healed as the team had hoped, but there was no indication that the big man had re-broken the bone againuntil now. Embiid is facing another lost season and an uphill battle to prove he can getand stayon the floor.
Basically he's too long and his circulation sucks, so he doesn't heal fully/as well as others. It sounds like its likely to just keep breaking/not healing properly. He was already lost for this season, right? Maybe the break was the reason for the pain? From a former student now in med school,"The Navicular is the last bone in the foot to form. If a person has poor circulation, its the bone in the foot most likely not to form correctly, vulnerable to breaks. Lack of blood to it reduces the chances of it healing properly. Embiid probably has a circulation disorder, and his navicular either never took the right shape as a kid or stopped getting enough blood after a late growth spurt, making it brittle. The issue fixing it isn't only getting the bone fixed, but getting the blood flow back into it too. I'm licensed to practice medicine in zero states and zero countries, but I doubt that foot ever heals well enough to play pro basketball on it."Basically he's too long and his circulation sucks, so he doesn't heal fully/as well as others. If it keeps you from bumping that cranium while squeezing it through the doors at SuperAmerica for a 79-cent fountain drink, then yes.Isn't that what I said? From a former student now in med school,"The Navicular is the last bone in the foot to form.
